so I was on my way home and this guy decides to take a left across all lanes in his suburban and apparently my car was "too small" and he didnt see it so he slammed right into the side of me:( I was not hurt physically, but mentally the pain will never go away....
Do you think they will total it? 2004 enthusiast 55k miles |
good thing you weren't hurt and im definitely no expert but it the car will run and you can change the door and rear fender (i think the wheels crooked as well from the angle of the pictures) there should be no reason them total it
Good luck, hopefully the car will be restored |
NOT TOO BE BLUNT....if they total it ...partout dibs too me...

Good luck, hopefully the car will be restored this will be an expensive fix, doubt it will be totaled territory, but it's not ruled out. good luck. |
Door and a reskin of the rear fender , probably $7k total
The other vehicle cut the door like a can opener. Glad you are unharmed.

I think your car will be okay. You got luck to be hit there, no passenger it looks like so no airbags went off maybe? If you didn't get the frame nicked you'll be okay.
Things that will total this car -Frame damage -Airbags Other than that you're good, good luck man hopefully it comes back better than new. |
thanks for the responses. Also, some damages not pictured are a cracked headlight and a wrinkle in the front bumper. also the broken glass scraped off a lot of the paint on the hood. The only thing I'm worried about if it is not a total loss is if they will fix it to how it was before. I put so much work into it making it clean and perfect, just my luck:(
bummer dude, least your ok.
Hey man Same thing just happened to me and it was only 6200 dollars to fix and they did not total it! Sorry to hear that it happened.
Sorry to hear bro, Looks like about $6500-7500 in damage which should be under the reasonable limit to total-out, but you just don't know. They have so much to consider, but note anywhere from 51% of vehicle value and up is totaling territory.
Jeez man, what kind of vehicle was he in? Looks like you hit Edward Scissorhands and he tried to hang on for dear life.
He was driving a suburban, so my car didnt really stand a chance haha. I walked away from the accident with minor injuries, but I just got X-rayed today for my ribs and arm so we will see for any fractures. It just sucks so much.
ouchh . pain .
Yikes. Glad your ok. I always love seeing Redline Z's, but not like this.
y don't people want it to be totaled? i would hate to have a accident record when i am selling the car.
Wow that sucks. Glad to see you are okay.
OP, that looks like the SECOND wreck my '08 took, neither my fault. I took my car to a known area car makeover place and they made it look brand new again.
AT the cost of $7000.00. Unfortunately I did get hurt though. Lost all feeling in my left arm from elbow to ring/pinkie fingers and continuous back/neck pain. I hired a lawyer as they guy had crappy insurance. This happened in March of last year and I'm STILL waiting to hear about the settlement. Best of luck to you. |
thats a total lost
They ended up deciding the car was a total loss. I got $14500 for it tho!!! which is not bad at all for a 2004 with 55k miles.
Now I'm on the hunt for a different Z:icon21: |
