My buddy let me borrow his 95TT for the weekend I can't sleep either. I've been driving Pacific Coast HWY for a couple hours, just got home, and want to go back..... :D

hehe I take it you like the Boost =)

WntA350z Sep 7, 2002 12:54 AM

OOOHHH ya... He has the apex-i boost controller on it so i'm able to screw around with the turbo's. I believe last time he set it the Z is running 19lbs. All I can say is "Pssssssshhhhhhhhhht"

Now for my impressions:
THIS CAR IS GREAT!!!!! I'm not going to repeat what everyone else has said except that. I also got to ride in a silverstone Track model - the wheels and rims look fabulous on the track. The cloth seats are the best I've seen but I prefer leather. If you ordered the cloth however you won't be dissapointed. The cupholders:
please keep in mind they are designed to hold a cup and not let one go. Your back seat passengers will thrill at their ease of use.
Even in the front seat, if you don't mind turning 180 degrees in your seat so you face the back hatch, you'll marvel at this engineering feat.
The Bose 240w system: I had 2 hours to play around with it. When you turn it on at factory preset it's the WORSE system you've ever heard. The base system in the track is OK. The good news is press the "Audio" button and use the up and down thingy
to adjust all the base out (-5) adjust the treble up (+2 or 3).
Now go back and adjust the base back up to about -2 or -3 to your liking. The stereo now sounds damn good to me - I went from dissapointed to pleased and most will agree unless you're in to the top end equipment. I didn't notice the volume going up or down after I did the adjusting but I like it pretty loud anyway.
All in all they did a great job of bring back a Z true to it's origins.
The engine is Porsche like and it handles like my old TVR but almost nobody knows what a TVR is so I won't go there - let's say
go cart like. You point the car, it goes there..no body lean or adhesion problems.
This car is an instant classic - all that ordered it's worth the wait !!!!!!

I had a TVR in 1973, I've never run into anyone that has ever seen one until now. Thanks for bringing back some fun memories!

It's absolutely beautiful. Red is awesome with the black interior. It's begging for some polished aluminum alloys.

Zcarnut Sep 7, 2002 08:01 AM

This is spooky Bill. Your camera angle pics look like the same ones I took...But I didnt email them to you yet!
Hope you enjoy the car!

P.S.
I think my boss slept in that Track model last night. Hes nuts about the car.

Oh and have you found the FRONT drink holder yet? Its just to the left of where a glove box should be.It only holds one drink.

BILL T Sep 7, 2002 08:46 AM

Yes, I found the front holder but I'm going to leave it be as it's looks a bit flimsy - I'm a can between the knees guy anyway so '
don't really care too much about it.
The car has been mobbed by gawkers today, a little too much for comfort (even though I parked away from people). There seem to be 2 types: those that could care less what you drive and the type that get those starry eyes - the kind a car salesman looks for.
As to the Bose - I've been listening to CD's and that seems OK.
Maybe the radio is where most of the trouble is as it sounded most crappy in the little while I listened to it but again it was just a little while and since the CD's sounded so good I haven't gone back.
