damn, they don't ship international.

I am not sure how great the savings is for you but there is plenty of companies who will do parcel forwarding to overseas locations. Might not be worth it but research into it since it will come in handy in the future.
|
I paid around $8 each for NGK plugs at my local dealer.
None of those are OEM parts, i.e. they don't come in a Nissan box. They are OEM replacements, something you can buy cheap anywhere. Try RockAuto for example, same NGK plug for $9.83, everyday price. Do a little digging and you'll find their coupon for % off. When you think about it, dealers are notoriously expensive, usually 2X, 3X or more for the OEM parts. You're saving less than 15% from AAP where I would expect to pay half or less than the dealer. |
Congrats, you shopped around online for 12 minutes and saved $12.

Instead of saving it for yourself do like me and share with the world. The first thread had 6 plugs NGK Plugs Laser Platinum which is OEM for $39.58 which is $6.59 each + tax and free shipping compared to $8 + tax + gas + time. If you look at K&N filter for $29 please show me another shop, facility ,dealer or vendor who will sell you a K&N for $29. I will agree with you they are not in a OEM BOX but really you want an OEM box that bad. Now look at PCV that is not OEM I agree but that is used as a filler and no one is forcing you to buy it replace the PCV with a air freshener or oil filter. If you are an extreme stickler and need to have the OEM box to sleep at night then just buy your fluids and tools from AAP and stick to paying the stealership for OEM parts with Nissan boxes. If I have been no help to you...welll BLAH i dont care. Many other folks on this forum who will benefit from this and even ACIDJAKE was floored when he saw the prices. I guarantee you this thread will bring in traffic to your forum and only generate more clicks due to how popular this thread was when I put it up on G35driver. In this economy and hard times we can't afford to be paying $10 for oem boxes. |
I think Dave was pointing out that your thread title says "OEM parts" but nothing you have listed is really OEM

http://www.mynismo.com/products/?id=2413 On there the part is 22401-5M015 NISSAN 350ZX 2003-2006 VQ35DE 3.5 ; PLFR5A-11: Standard So I ask you again...what is the difference between advance auto parts "NGK (6240) PLFR5A-11 Laser Platinum Spark Plug" & Nissan OEM "NISSAN 350ZX 2003-2006 VQ35DE 3.5 ; PLFR5A-11". I will agree with you that they do not sell NISSAN BRANDED PARTS but they sell the IDENTICAL PART made my the same manufacturer for Nissan except you do not get a box that says NISSAN instead it says NGK |

Your subject claimed "cheap OEM parts" but in reality, nothing you bought was OEM. You are making an apples to oranges comparison. And it has nothing to do with the box it comes in. We all agree that OEM parts are rediculously expensive, that being said, I expected the difference between the OEM parts and the cheap AAP/auto parts store prices to be 2X, 3X even 5X less. In the end, it was less than 15% below OEM. These are the prices you posted, not me. I only mentioned the NGK plugs because I bought some recently and recalled that they weren't nearly expensive as the $15 you claimed. Now that I'm home and can look at the receipt, I see I paid $7.59 per plug. If you're willing to wait for mail order vs stopping by the dealer on the way home and putting them in your hand that day, then that's the choice you make. From many years of experience, I know exactly the quality, reliability and lifetime expectancy you get out of a lot of the cheap parts from AAP, Autozone, Pepboys, etc. You get what you pay for. If you're happy with your deal, then so be it. I was just trying to understand what made this such a good deal :dunno: |

The deal you got from your dealer is very good price and the difference is only less than $10. I agree with if you are needing a part instantaneous and only the dealer has it local. Now if you are planning a tuneup then you can buy parts ahead of time and put that $10 towards beer.
Look at how much Sewell charges for a set of spark plugs and the price AAP charge. Regular price is $93 and online price is $67. AAP price for identical parts is $39. That is a much larger difference than 15% but not quite 2x, 3x or 5x less. Regardless seems like you know where to find competitive deals and you should continue with what ever you are doing. This is for people who do not do anything but go to a dealership or local store for parts and end up paying retail. I can wait a week for parts if I plan ahead and have it by the weekend for half price. What about tools do you not need any tools or fluids that you could use those coupon on or you only like to stick with SNAP ON and MATCO. Not gonna continue on this topic as all we are doing is clogging the thread. http://infiniti.sewellparts.com/acce...-2003/916.html |

No sir, that is the correct heat range for an 06 Z.
I initially got the LFR6AIX for my stroker build but after researching it decided to go stock. |
