You made a thread about not being able to mod a car because of your current situation and lack of income. Its clear that you have other priorities that are more important than modding a car, so why make a thread about it? There are a lot of stock Zs on the forum, its really not a big deal. My advice get good grades, apply for scholarships, volunteer, get an internship, go to college etc. there are more important things in life than a car...
If you were smart you would sell it, get a beater to get you thru school, save money on gas and insurance and later in life buy what you want.
very smart Idea. If your going to college save your money. Insurance and gas will add up, and maybe invest it if you can. then when the dust settles you can build a monster.

I plan on doing all those things. I have a job and when I turn 18 I'm getting a better job. I have a 4.0 GPA. I got a 1720 on my SAT (taking it again to get 1800). I have a list of 5 colleges I'm applying to including Drexel, which has the best co-op (internship) program in the country. Most students make around 15k a summer with co-ops at Drexel. This is the kind of thing I wanted to here. Thank you very much.

Plus, I like hearing what other people have to say about some things.

I've talked to college seniors who majored in software engineering, all of them had jobs already paying 75k a year and some were interviewing at Google to see if they could get an even better job. And plus, I know it's going to take some time, I don't plan on getting out of college and getting a new car right away. It'll take a few years
I made more than that when I graduated and now I live in a $90k house. Sometimes things are better on paper.

First, Google doesn't pay that well. Second, software engineering is being overrun by outsourced labor from India.
I really wonder how people end up with an automatic when they wanted a 6 speed? That cracks me up. Did you just buy the first car you spotted sitting in a lot? .
Seriously, I'd like to know the answer to this too. Maybe he thought automatic would be just as fun then realized he regretted his decision every time one of his buddies asked "oh sweet dude is it stick shift" and he had to sigh and say no man.
