I last posted on the forum in April when I turned 75. The Z has been running well. Only repair involved replacing the struts on the rear hatch. I bought them on line for $70 and replaced them in 20 minutes. I took the car on a run to the International Auto show in Phoenix last Sunday. That's a 105 mile trip from Tucson and it was a smooth trip with the cruise control set on 80 most of the way. A 78 year old friend and I are driving the Z to Los Angeles at the end of the first week in December to see the LA Auto Show. It will be a quick trip, one day driving, one day at the show, and return to Tucson on the third day. Haven't checked the distance yet but I figure 7 to 9 hours driving time with us sharing wheel time. The Z has 71,000 miles on it. I still love driving it every day and look forward to having the car at least until I turn 80. If there are any 350 Z drivers on the forum older than me I stand corrected for calling myself the oldest in the title.

At only 62 I can only hope that I will enjoy many years of motoring in my ZR. It sounds like you have a great road trip planned heading out to the LA Auto show. Living on the east coast you now have me thinking about the NY auto show for a possible road trip. Enjoy your drive and the auto show.

i seriously wish there was a subforum for members 35 and up, all the way up i guess lol.. far better talking w all of these guys than the newbs.
BTW, Congrats OP. I thought it was cool/horrififc when i got a FB request from my 63 year old ( and very Clint Eastwoodish lol) father this year.. imagining him in a Z and posting online at 75 is crazy.
I think thats simply awesome.

59 years old. Loving my 2007 Enthusiast / HR! Had Challenger and Mustang, but they are too common. Around here Z's are somewhat rare. I appreciate a sports car over a muscle car, any day! The old guy section on my350z sound good to me!
