Default Need help pricing my Z

I'm playing around with the idea of selling my Z, but I'm not sure what a fair price tag should be. First, do you think it would be to my advantage to wait until Spring? Would I be able to get significantly more?

Here is the car--

2006 base with 67,000 miles (17,000 are mine)

The good -

New battery (three months old)
New clutch and flywheel (10,000 miles on them)
New rear tires (Dunlops, don't know the model, paid 400 for the two)
New rotors and pads (15,000 on them)
Differential fluid changed
Clarion double din deck

The bad -

One accident I got in last winter, lost control and hit the median. No frame damage or anything, just some body damage, got it repaired right away.

The front bumper has the paint peel issue and looks like crap. I've gotten estimates and looking at 550 to prime and respray, can't decide if I should take care of it first or just take the cost off the price.

A few little annoying interior issues like scratches on the armrests. Cosmetic but look ugly as hell

So what do you guys think? I have the paperwork for the work done, the fact that its in solid mechanical condition is helpful I think, no major work coming up on it. The biggest question for me I think is whether or not I should respray the bumper or let the buyer take care of it, and whether or not waiting until spring is worth it.

Thanks

you can go by what those sites are gonna give you for blue book value but honestly cars arent selling for what they book for lately..best thing to do is search around and find comparable cars on like autotrader and diff. classifieds and base the price competatively to those.

Most people sell cars under blue book value (look at Craigslist or Autotrader and people will mention that their price is x under book value). Best way to price would be to find local Z's for sale in your area and price accordingly. You will probably have to wait until spring since I doubt anyone would want to buy a Z during the winter time - However, do remember that the car value will continue to depreciate over time.

It's hard to get top dollar, or sometimes even get a sale, when you have an obvious defect like what you described on your front bumper. Such a defect gives the impression that you don't take care of your car and makes the potential buyer wonder what else might be wrong that isn't obvious. That said, there is no guarantee that spending $550 on a bumper paint job is going to get you the $550 back at the time of sale. If you had a buddy who worked on cars who could paint the bumper at cost, or at least less than the price you quoted it would be good to get it done in my opinion.

I just spent 6 weeks shopping for the right 350. They very on price depending on your location but $16k seems like a nice starting point. I had to drive to a small town in the middle of Oregon to save 2k+.

Winter is not necessarily a bad time to sell. If you plan on buying a more expensive sports car, you will sell for less but also buy for less. Less money involved means a smaller loan and less taxes.

I did exactly this, I traded in my 04z for a 2011z and even though I didn't get that much for the '04, I got a fantastic deal on the '11. It was worth it.
