Default My new pioneer fh-x 700BT 2013 model install with 2 fosgate p2 10s

How do you all think it looks? I like it. I'm going to do black carpet on box and I ran the sub rca remote power ground wires too the factory storage cubby and I am making the factory subwoofer spot storage instead.. I know a lot of people look for ideas of what to do.... Bluetooth radio is a must!! Im in the process of building an amp rack for the cubby

I re ran the wires to the radio instead of factory amp. Also, installed Bluetooth mic above the rear view mirror... I'm running a 2013 pioneer 1600w GMD-8601 amp to the subs... Rated at 300 rms only giving them 250 each at 2 ohm!!! Haven't heard it yet. Box is small... Filled it with pollyfill. It's only 1.0 Cu Ft subs require min. .51

What do you all think of the install? Did it all myself.. Didn't face much trouble other than tucking all the wires neatly behind the ac box (which I hate) The radio was a little smaller than most double dins, i made it fit as best as i can!

Thanks for looking. I'm going to upload some pics now... Hope I can from phone

Get some working pics up so we can see what you actually did.

You say youre GOING to do black carpet on the box? Usually that's done before the install. Also, take pics of the wires you have in the factory storage compartment. Something about that statement seems off to me.

I am going to do the carpet on the box. I bought it with frost carpet. I wanted to see how it sounds and than do the carpet. May even do black vinyl instead... Building an amp rack for the cubby so as of right now it just as clean as it can be with wires being tucked. Yeah, touchscreen a look better, but why would I waist the extra money I feel it looks great and the lights are awesome the entire unit lights up. Just finished the installation... Had a cobra radar on front windshield IMMEDIATELY fell off when the subs hit and the cars roof flexs a lot along with my wing & wipers! Luckily car was already Dynomatted

How are you liking the radio so far? About to pull the trigger on one myself and would like to know how its working in your Z. Did you get any higher quality pics or videos hosted? I'd love to see them if you did.

How is the brightness to you, too bright? From all of the reviews, that seems to be one of the only complaints with it. For the price its hard to beat and I need to replace the stock Bose unit anyway... 6 disc changer bit the dust and I'd love to have all of the extra features. TIA.

That radio is a double-DIN head unit. If you mean 'why not step up to a touchscreen'; I don't see a need to. I can get this HU, the wiring harness, and the installation kit for $130. That includes built in blutooth. I can't find another double-DIN touchscreen HU I like with the features this offers for $100 more. They all start around the $350 range. If I planned to build a system or put it in a show car this wouldn't be my personal choice. But for what I plan to use it for, it's perfect.

Btw, the **** looks no bigger than the HVAC *****. Doesn't bother me at all.

I just installed this deck and I must say. For the price, it's a great deal. Bluetooth works flawlessly, The lights are bright, but you can literally pick any color you want by entering RGB codes. They have like 20+ stock colors in there already. I go with the Blue. Looks great. The power output is only rated at 14 RMS which I see as too weak. I'm in the process of buying an amp now and upgrading the front speakers.
