Why aren't there any cars listed in Kansas City?

Have the trucks been hijacked? How come the cars are in St. Louis? This is pissing me off! I've gotta sit in a Z or I'm going to go more insane than I already am!

Saw a Chrome Silver auto touring at (IMO) to be the worse Nissan dealership in Kansas City, Stateline Nissan. They're charging 5,000 over MSRP.

I originally had my car reserved at this dealership. When I made my deposit I made my salesman promise me he would sell to me at MSRP. He signed a print out with the MSRP price; he stated he would. 3 weeks later I receive an EMAIL from the sales manager stating he couldn't honor my salesman's promise and cancelled my order and credited me back my deposit of $1,000. I didn't even get a phone call!

Needless to say I hold a grudge against them.

Even though they are a POS I figured I would go down and check out the touring Z. I started asking him what they wanted for this car and he said 5,000 over sticker. I played dumb and asked if there was anyway I could get a car for MSRP in Kansas City and he said, "No Way". I tell him that I originally had mine ordered from him but they cancelled my order and he says that he remembered me (yeah sure he does).

I start to tell him I have mine ordered at (One of the best Nissan Dealerships I've been to) McCarthy Nissan in Olathe, KS. I said mine should be in by October and at MSRP. He tells me I shouldn't count on it coming in by then. He starts telling me that this particular dealership will "Nickle and Dime me" when i go in to pick it up.

I also mention another dealership (O'neill Automotive in Overland Park, KS) that I know of that offered me a Redline Performance at MSRP and he starts to cut them down too.

What a low life scum bag salesman to cut a place down when he hears that they are ONLY charging MSRP. I wish Nissan would take some actions against people that do this. They think they're hot **** because they can charge $XXXX.XX over MSRP.

I'll never get a chance to sit in one until mine shows up :(

They had the same car available at the Nissan in Blue Springs, MO at STICKER! I went to that Stateline dealership and they acted like it was a gd dmn ferrari! Like we were lucky to even be able to see it. So last night I went to the one in Blue Springs and got to see, touch, sit in, pop the hood, do everything I wanted (except drive it of course). I even got them to start it up and rev it a little. Fck those Stateline A-holes!

Now I'm waiting to find a black Enth 6-spd.

You got to sit in one!

You're so lucky!

Yeah, state line does suck

I also got the same BS from Stateline Nissan, they wanted a cool $5K over, I tried several times. I too ALMOST pre-ordered from them. I am so glad I didn't, I would have blown a gasket if they had cancelled my order. I flew to AZ to get mine on the 24th of August and absolutely love it. I would definitely suggest going to Mccarthy's Nissan, ask for Johnny at Olathe, he said they were getting a white touring at MSRP if anyone is interested.

I've got a Performance Black Z in Kansas City. I am interested in racing this bad boy, if I find where some local events around KC are(maybe SCCA, but I think they are done this year), I would be more than happy to let you take a peak and sit in my 350.

I work right in down town KC. I have drove by several dealerships, and constantly kept my eyes peeled for the new Z. It's driving me nuts! I have never seen one in person. We never get the good stuff at our auto shows here, so I have never even seen a concept of the new Z.

Everyone around me thinks there is something wrong with me. I'm always telling them to keep their eyes open, "because you never know when one will pop up." They could care less of course. I know the first time I see one, I will jump up and down like a little schoolgirl. Or maybe cry. I am usually a very normal person. But a man can only handle so much.

I live north of the river. Please tell me you are somewhere near me. :)

What dealer did you get your's from in AZ? Were you satisfied with them?

SiGGy Sep 30, 2002 08:26 AM

Yup.

I was looking at that same car myself.

What a ripoff... I left laughing....

I also saw the Stateline $5,000 markup. You are right, it was a laugh. I have an Oct 15 delivery date from Jay Wolfe Nissan. They have been great, no markup. I found an installer for the 3M clear bra and he will install it at the dealer.

Black Touring at Jay Wolfe Nissan

Jay Wolfe Nissan has a black touring automatic that is sold, but the buyer has agreed to allow it to be shown for 30 days.

State Line is a POS!

Hey just to conform the previous comments on State Line Nissan,
I purchased a 02 Maxima there, when it was time to pick it up, things were not as they should be, it got very UGLY, to the point where the manager sent out a salesman and threw, I MEAN OVERHAND THROW, the keys and owner manual at my grandmother and I. I guess they thought I was going to cry! After an attorney buddy of mine dealt with them I got my deposit back and went up to Jay Wolfe.
The great positive of the deal was the timing. The first talk of the Z came out and I decided on the Z instead of another Max. I guess everything happens for a reason!
I'd like to run into that manager in a dark alley with a few friends of mine...Louisville and slugger!
Oh by the way, MSRP at Jay Wolfe
Hopefully I'll be a proud new mother Oct 8th!

Bonner928 Sep 30, 2002 01:47 PM

John, did we meet last week at Jay Wolfe?

John,
are you the gentleman I met last week at Jay Wolfe looking at their black Z? Thanks for the hint on this site. It's much better than the one I was hitting prior.
I am interested in seeing your Z after the 3M clear bra application. I am out in OP frequently maybe we could set something up....Let me know what you think.

John A. Waldron Jr. Sep 30, 2002 01:54 PM

Yes, we met at Jay Wolfe

I'll be happy to meet and show you the 3M bra. I hope it goes well. This installer has been doing the 3M film for Baron BMW. I got his name from GIS distributing who handles the 3M film for KC.

Hey if any of you KC owners take your Z's to the 1/4 mile track at KCIR, please shoot me an e-mail. I would love to come watch and see what they can run. I sold my 12 sec Supra and now have a Z that should arrive in November. Can you say Nitrous?

Every Wed and Fri night (and most Sundays) the track is open for street cars. It costs around $10-15. More info at http://kcir.net
