350z burn out.
Own a 2005 350z 35 yr. anniversary model with 6 speed up here in Canada. Had 85,000 km's when I bought it last year and now at 100,000 km's I am consuming a qt. of oil every 125 miles. Nissan has offered to supply a short block and I pay for everything else. I'm not anything close to resembling a mechanic and was wondering what others have done under these circumstances. I'm not a fan of used engines for obvious reasons and I'm wondering if I would be better served by having my engine re-manufactured?
This has been such a disappointment and looking for a solution. Thanks.

Came here hoping to see a burnout. now im depressed. I don't know what to tell you about the 350, but the 00-02 celica was notorious for burning oil. For us, there was no way to fix it, a new motor has to be purchased. If you buy a used motor through Nissan, it should be certified and come with a warranty. I bought my 03 celica engine through Nissan, and my uncle (who is th master tech there), swapped it for me and they gave me a 1 year warranty. Over one year, no problems.

i was also hoping for a burnout haha but i heard the 05 g's had a notorious oil burning problem and since they are both the same platform and engine im guessing its probably normal
