Winter storage

Alright, this questions has probably been asked a thousand times. But what do you reccomend for winter storage? My options are either buy a "good" car cover and park it in the driveway or rent a storage unit for several month with a cheaper cover on it. I can get a unit for 50 something dollars a month. I figure for the amount of money I will pay for the storage unit for the winter I can buy a quality cover and I'll be able to use that year around. I know the unit is obviously the better option but is it worth the money? I mean, I cherish my car, but it's not like I have some exotic car haha.

It's also cat-proof.

I could cat-proof it with a dog or a .22

I hate cats.

That is classic!!

I store mine in a heated garage. Then put a cheap car cover on it. Also put sta bil in the tank before.

Then I start it up and sit in it every so often. When it's next spring the car feels like new.

If I were you just get a storage unit and put it in there. Make sure you carry comprehensive as well

I would not store the car outside with any kind of car cover. Moisture will get trapped underneath and most likely damage your paint. The wind will also make the cover move and will scratch your paint. If the car has to sit outside, I wouldn't store it at all. I would just drive it as much as possible during the winter months.
