Was the 350z your dream car?
I know when I was 13, just a short 7 years ago, I became interested in a 350z thanks to a combination of Need for Speed underground 2, and Tokyo Drift, but I never thought it to be a car I could ever afford. It was literally my dream car. I know standards were exactly high for a dream car, but I loved it. Granted it doesn't have green neons or decals like I imagined it then (just another reminder, I was 13) I love this car so much it is insane.
So back to the question, was the 350z one of your dream cars?

Not even close, just a play toy.

I dream a lot bigger than a 350z. I thought about getting a Lotus or Porsche, much more of a dream car and turn my Z into track only. I got married and now have kids instead.

I mean obviously since I'm here right now with my car, my thoughts now go higher. Maybe a Vette or something of that nature. But before the Z it was like one of those cars that I always loved.

Op we are from the same generation lol. 20 now and five years ago thanks to Tokyo drift and forza this was one of my favorite cars I thought I would never own.
Little did i know they are actually affordable. Especially if u buy a broken one and fix it like I did.
Gotta say tho sometime I still look down at the z on the wheel and remember I'm not driving an escort anymore and it kinda feels like a dream lol.
I think stuff like this wears off quick when u get older. I imagine most ppl on here are a little more grown up than me.
From the second I bought this car I said I would never sell it. And I still hope to never ever sell it. Hopefully when it's nearing the end of its DD life, gut it,roll cage, hit the track....because racecar.

Thank god it's not just me here haha. Every time I'm reading on here I'm just like man I am probably one of the youngest people here. It is nice to actually have bought this and not had it built by mom and dads money. Although it would be much more convenient, it means more this way. Since I've had it I have said I also will not sell it. And if the motor goes and all else fails, LS swap. Came a long way since a 91 Camry.

Also after like a year of lurking these forums I figured I would actually post something, even though it is just something little like this haha. I've actually learned so much from this forum.

Mine wasn't a dream car; it's my wife's winter beater/daily driver. A 350Z was picked after she got tired of her M3 and I've decided to rid my stable of BMW altogether after selling my M3 a few years prior.
The process of picking a 350Z was a rather unique one. We've been looking for a few months and none of my suggestions were good enough, including a CTS-V & a Z06. She also didn't want a 4-door. Genesis Coupe wasn't good enough, FRS/BRZ/S2000/Miata were too weak, RX8 was plain dumb, and a 350Z wasn't even considered since I dismissed it for lack of power many years ago when it first came out.
Until a blue one pulled out in front of her and she had to slam on her brakes. She took a liking to 350Z after test driving a few & I figured it has ok power for a daily driver as long as it has the VQ35HR. Originally we were looking for a Solar Orange, but couldn't find one within the set budget.
My dream car starts with a name brand "Pagani".

I love my car, I've had a passion for Nissan since I could drive. This is my tenth Nissan/Infiniti but clearly my favorite. My dream car is whatever is parked in the garage of the house I'll own. Big boy dreams lol

The Z was always my "I WILL have one one day" car. I was never Into the car scene before this and basically only liked muscle. The need for speed games introduced me to the 350, and a relative went out and bought 2, 1 6MT 1 auto, then twin turboed the stick. After seeing those I was pretty hooked. Coming from a silverado and a lifted 4x4 tacoma, this is the best vehicle I've had. Nearing 20 myself, I understand where you're coming from.

Took me a few months to figure out I would never get rid of mine. I did think about selling mine to get an. 07 Solar Orange in late 07 , I also thought about just buying the 07 to turn the 03 into a dedicated track car. Then I started looking into the Caymen S , and I met the wife. Back to what I said above.

I actually hated 350z's for the longest time. Until one day out of curiosity I looked them up on youtube, ended up on forums etc and really got into them.
My dream car has been an e60 m5 for a while. Even though the f10 came out I still love the e60. Dat v10 family sedan.
So no the 350z was not my dream car. It is, however, an awesome car that I enjoy every day.
