Slip light
I put Rota P45R's on my 2007 350z and randomly the slip light flashes and I don't get any power. This also happened when I had a tune up done on my car and they rotated my front wheels to the back. I know my tires aren't losing grip. Does this happen to anyone else? How do I fix it?

:bang: how much stupidity do we have to deal with?
You realize that we have staggered wheels for a reason right? (probably not). You can't rotate your tires and the shop who did that you should not go back to. On a serious note, what tires and wheel sizes/widths do you have? |

The z is supposed to have staggering tires meaning the larger are in back. What size tires are on your rear and front wheels? |

Yes, I know they are staggered. When I got home, I rotated the wheels back to where they were supposed to be.
Current tire size is 225/50/17 front and 245/45/17 rear. |
wtf? Did you ever read your owner's manual? Your not suppose to rotate the tires. A tune up shouldn't interfere with the slip light coming on. Also, these cars get really agitated when you use wheels that aren't within the stock perimeters.
|
I know that. I didn't rotate them.
Does anyone actually know why it does this? |
225/50/17 Overall Diameter: 25.86 in
245/45/17 Overall Diameter: 25.68 in Your back tires are spinning faster than your front tires due to the smaller size. It wont take much at all for the traction control to engage. |

You just bought the rears correct?
The fronts are too big. Stock is 225/45 not 225/50 |

The fronts are too big. Stock is 225/45 not 225/50 Now that I know that, it's not a big deal. I'll just drive with the traction control off until I get the correct sizes tires. Which may be a while, cause the Army doesn't pay for ****. |
It doesn't take much to throw off the z and traction control...
I would drive with vdc off and hopefully then there will be no issue. But iwouldd change the front tire size back to 45 asap |
