A friend of mine has a BRZ and got a shark fin antenna so I decided to see if his old one would fit my car. Turns out it fits perfectly and looks great.

as long as its the same style/ angle any should fit it, like for example the eclipse antenna's are made with the same angle and should fit perfectly as well, as far as i know antenna's are all the same size and everything the only thing that matters is the base of it, some are a flat base, some are on the roof, some have angled bases like the 350z.

looks nice though, and saved you a few bucks id get like a 10 inch one or 12 inch one though i think that one is just too small though. not bad for a free upgrade tough!

Ya, I was thinking about getting one of the 3 inch ones but now that I have this one on there I think any shorter would look kind of dumb. The one thing that's really good about this is that my radio reception has improved. I'm not sure if the wire inside my stock on had severed or if this one has newer design technology (although I doubt it). But I'm just happy with the better reception especially after hearing horror stories about aftermarket "shorty" antennas.

It's one of the cleanest ones out there. Although my radio reception is not too good it's worth it lol.

Cost me $12 about 5 years ago.

I have a Dodge Avenger one on mine. Looks just like the OP's. $4 off Ebay from a Dodge dealer. Radio reception is just as good as before.

As oldschool350z says the Honda S2000 fits a treat and reception is great.

Acura RDX antenna fits snug.

I second that. The RDX antenna fits and looks like it should have come on the car from the factory. $10 at Acura.

RDX looks best IMO. S2K is too fat and sticks out a little.

This one looks good also.

gabez33 07-29-2014 07:32 AM

is the RDX and s2k the same length>?

Thats what I had on mine back in '07. LOL.

clubhopper 07-29-2014 12:09 PM

i remember hearing that the s2k antenna leaves a slight gap at the base. I went with the RDX antenna for ten bucks back in the day.

MonkeyMagic72 07-29-2014 01:44 PM

OP. Post up some close up pictures, so we can all see the fitment on this one.

They must have changed them over the years then, mine has no gap, and isn't wider than the base. It fits snug and is exactly the same width, not to mention I never have reception issues at all. I bought mine in 2001 and it's been on a Celica, a buddies TC for a year lol, and back on my Z.
