Default Rollback!What to do now?

Hey, i really need your advice what to do now! I got my 03 z some time ago. My firend test drove it and he loved it. So about 2 weeks ago he bought 04 z with 71k miles.
And here is the problem: This z didnt have any service book or any known service history. I told him not to buy it but he bought it(got it really cheap). 2 days ago he told me this car does not have real mileage . He ran a carfax and it showed that z had 61k miles in 2007. This is the only carfax mileage report(from first owner). Since 2007 car has had 4 owners before him!!! I think this is obvious a rollback!
But car seems really good except worn steering wheel.( he told me that because of worn steering wheel he thought of rollback!) My ex coworker drove it ( he had 05 z in 2005) and he checked a car and he said everyrthing is fine, actually awesome for 10 years old car.
Now my friend does not know what to do! Should he sell a car? should he keep it? i know it is not possible to do 10k miles since 2007. Is there a way to check mileage? Anyway , tomorow we will visit a seller and nothing good will happen to him!! But still what to do with car?
Thanks

Just keep it, if it has 0 issues. For some the Z is a weekend car, so it's possible that it wasn't driven. I drive my Z ~3,000 miles/year but I'm the original owner.

It is possible the car could have been driven 10,000 miles in the past 6 years. I have a 2003 Z and it has 24,000 miles and I am the original owner. At this point, selling the car does not seem like a viable option. I would just drive it and have fun with it and quit worrying about the car's past.

Mileage per year is very dependent on owner, I have a car that I have not put 300 miles on in the last 10 years.

I've only got 12.5K miles on the '08 I bought in August of '09. I know of an '08 for sale that's only got 3820 miles on it.

Many who posted have multiple vehicles. I put about 3k miles/year on all my cars. Unbiased equal amount of love.

I bought several different brands a total of 9 giant size bottles. Every time I used a little for the wash, and every one of those washings was with a different brand. I still have 9 of those giant bottles and it's been 4 years now. See, I can & do feel you.....

Some people see cars as an appliance, like a refrigerator or dish washer, in your case detergent. For some enthusiasts, a car they like or even love, has more meaning, an emotional piece. That's why some members here have spent over $100k on their 350z just to drive it occasionally. You can tell who is what by how well a car is kept. Some are mint while others turn into janky down the drain used up detergent.

Have you at least started it regularly? Maybe engine has seized up???? If engine is not started regularly the cylinder walls and other parts will dry up & build up with some surface rust. Starting the car then would scratch the rings and other parts.

A car should be driven, in my opinion.

I really needed that info.

Why don't you get 2 more cars and you'll be able to keep the mileage down to 300 miles per year.

It would still hover around 500 miles. The amount of vehicles I have doesn't change the amount that I drive it(Unless of course I only had one vehicle) In which case I would drive it much more, but it is not feasible here with new england weather. Any snow at all makes the Z useless, because is traction issues. That's why I have a couple AWD vehicles for the snow. One beater, one regular. Surprisingly the beater cost more (up front) than the regular(But that's a different story) PM me your # and I can text you about it

if your friend feels really wronged "rolling back" the miles is a really big offense so whoever did it can get in big trouble. obviously it still has more miles than before so it's not like it was "rolled back" from 100k to 70k you know? i would say if it doesn't have any problems it's probably a keeper (got it cheap) and learn the lesson. it sounds like he ran the carfax after he bought it when in reality it should have been done before the purchase. so that's a learning experience there.
