Default Dyno results...Need some opinion !!

Hey guys, my car is a 2004 350Z, 6MT, track package.
I just finished from installing some bolt-ons so I thought I share my results with you.

My current mods are : Motordyne 5/16 spacer, DC headers, Megan racing test pipes, HKS replica cat back, BC 264 cams, Uprev tune, Exedy stage 1 clutch, Nismo suspension and Nismo body dampers.

This is my baseline, completely stock. All dyno runs were made in 4th gear.

Bank 1 intake cam solenoid valve was broken. mods: spacer, test pipes, exhaust, cams, uprev.

This dyno is after installing all mods listed above. Torque increased quite a bit. however, what is the reason for that dip below 3500 and is there anything that can be done to improve it ?? could it be a leakage of some sort? All feedback are appreciated

Thanks

Not bad making pretty good power. Why didn't you go with 272 or 280 cams just wondering?

Because I m planning to go forced induction later on plus I did not want to loose more low end torque...

So about that low end dip, is it quite normal or is something wrong ?

More info is needed. Do you have a graph of the afr numbers? That could probably answer some questions. Otherwise, look for leaks or slipping clutch.

I asked the guy at the dyno to send me the AFR figures and this is what he sent me...I believe this answers my questions...It seems that the engine is running a bit rich where that dip is but correct me if I am wrong.

Below is the AFR on the second run (310.9 Hp)

and third run (311.3 Hp)

Why were your dyno runs made in 4th gear?

Because the guy at the dyno thought that the 1 : 1 ratio is in 4th gear instead of 5th...He only told me that after the baseline dyno finished. I decided to do all of the others in 4th just to be consistent.

yea the guy that did my dyno also said the same thing about 4th being 1:1. If you ever dyno again your numbers will be higher in 5th.

i would agree, it seems your fuel map does have a hole in it around 3750, there is certainly no reason to be running 12.75 at that RPM. do you have an uprev cable? if so i can take a look at your fuel and timing maps

I dont have a cable, an Uprev guy usually takes care of the tuning...thanks though

Yeah it pulls hard beyond 3500 but you can really feel that hole between 2500 and 3500 rpm...I got the tune from a local uprev shop, i will most probably take it back and have the AFR fixed.

Your tuner should be able to fix this. Unless there is something wrong with your car or you need a new tuner.

Damn those are really good NA, Non-HR numbers..... Dynocom can inflate these kinds of numbers up to 40HP doesn't it? Either way, looking at the HP increase - 50HP gain is very nice. Congrats

AFR should definitely be smoother through that range. Either it wasn't smoothed properly or your tuner added fuel to combat detonation(unlikely). 13.5 AFR may be a bit too lean at 4250 although not unacceptable. Great gains though.

Didn't you pay to have it done correctly the first time? Seems like you should get the retune at no cost....
