OP sounds like a typical 350z FB group member...

It depends what you will be using your Z for OP. If you will be racing, get a racing wheel. If you will be driving slowly around the mall parking lot with your seat overly reclined and pre-selected dubstep song playing loud enough to get everyones' attention to ensure they notice that cool guy in that cool Z, then the stock wheel will be just fine.

The wheel feels big??
I drove an impreza for a daily for years and now drive an e46 for a daily.. Every time I get in my Z I feel like the wheel is TINY in comparison to either of my daily drivers or any other car I've driven.
I wouldn't get rid of the stock wheel because the airbag is too important.
But if you want to customize your oem wheel, you can do a nice wrap? Check out redlinegoods.com They have nice wraps that take place of the existing leather

I have a nardi personal wheel mounted to an nrg quick detach hub, l like it. Im a tall guy and it makes it easier for me to get out of my lowered z with racing seats.

Take a look at grip royal wheels, they are solid and look good.

Just know that the majority of the fourms will hate on you cause they think that its rice

If you aren't racing, then yes, it's rice.

My car sees track use, it's more of a track car that I drive on the street.

I eventually plan of getting my OEM wheel wrapped with thicker padding & nicer leather by Dallas Custom Steering Wheel. I figure why put my life more at risk with removing a safety mechanism that's installed in all cars these days. It would be a different story if i raced and had bucket seats with a harness.

Then you are actually using the wheel what it was intended for.

In one of the OP's other threads, he stated he uses the car as a daily with "hard driving on the street." I highly doubt he is an experienced driver.

Something else to consider: most insurance companies will not cover you if you are injured in an accident after intentionally disabling or removing your airbag.

your car, do what you want. ive had to 300ZXs without airbags and Ive never needed them thank god, the 350 I hope to get this weekend has airbags but I hate the look of that ugly *** wheel so I may put a quick release hub and momo wheel in it, still thinking about it. ultimately its your car and if you think its worth the risk its your call.
