can i swap 08 manual trans internals into 03 case?
so i a 03 350z with the 6 speed that grinds in 3rd and 5th. i also have a good trans from a 2008 that i dont think will work b/c the starter is in a different location as well as the crank sensor and the fact that it runs the internal slave v/s the external of the 03.
is there any way to make this work out? are the cases the same if i were to swap the internals from the 08 into the 03?
any help is appreciated. i have searched but didnt find any info on it

Don't know, but I know I would pull it apart and try. But that is just me

Long answer: You probably don't want to do it.
Here's the reason why.
I got tired and sweaty just reading it but it was an exercise in "gearheadism". And that's a compliment to derektm, OP of the post referenced.

Doesn't seem like anything simple could be done to make an HR tranny compatible with a DE, since it's an entirely different motor. Would sell the 08 tranny and buy a CD009. I'm trying to do the same tranny swap in my 03 as it grinds at 3rd at high rpms. My 6MT in my 03 still works fine for now, but it'll eventually poop out over time. CD009 is the only permanent solution
