Color Change
So, I'm gonna repaint my car and was just wanted suggestions and opinions from everyone. At the moment its currently black and if I cant choose a different color ill just repaint it black with pearls, black is awesome and all but soooo hard to maintain. I thought of doing Monterey Blue Pearl(the 370z blue) or a dark blueish color.

dark blue looks nice. not sure if this is midnight blue or what but it looks great.

I'll just throw it or there, have you thought about wrapping it?
I've toyed with the idea of color changing myself, mainly because half the car is primer, thanks to a Mustang GT and a guard rail. |

matte blue wrap

My car is black and I had the opportunity to get it painted any color I wanted. I couldnt decide, so I stuck with black...It looks amazing, however, i regret not changing the color up to something a bit crazy..

Mine is also black... I was going to say matte black but I dont know if I love it.

I had mine done in matte black and its fun at the start, but gets way too dirty way too quick and looks way more "ricer" than I thought, which doesn't bug me but may bug some. I'd go matte white ( I know it'll get dirty just as quick but still gorgeous) or blue!

Montery blue would be ****en sex. Not a fan of matte-anything on the Z. Makes it look cheap and whatnot.
|
Whatever you do don't wrap it matte. Nothing makes the Z look dead like a matte wrap that doesn't reflect light...the reflections are what help accentuate the lines of the Z...matte just kills it and your eye doesn't move across the car, it just notices a body panel and kinda stops.
Think of pro bodybuilders...they oil their skin because the light reflects off the oil, making the lines of their body look their best. Now imagine covering a bodybuilder in matte ashes of dirt. Who's going to look better...the skin that sheens and reflects the curves they've worked for, with each curve leading your eye to the next, or the other person? Saved |
Go with the 03 Daytona blue... I love that color
|
No to matte wraps. It does make our cara look cheap. Just seen a 350 with plastidip all around the car plus wheels.... Was so embarassed to drive past him with his eBay exhaust.... At that moment I wanted to sell my Z, lol
