Anyone else in love with the Z's backside?

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one :) My best friend took this pic of me sitting with the Black Queen close to Silverwood Lake yesterday afternoon.

My back side is scuffed in the same spot. Yours looks better then mine though.

Yup. Love the Z's rear as well but to be honest her face is also nice with the proper front bumper. Nismo Z's need nothing..

JERZ350 Sep 15, 2015 06:56 AM

....and the further down you go, the better it looks lol

Front, side and back- I like the overall styling of the Z33. I'm sure there were some discussions at Nissan Design America (NDA) when the first sketches came out. Items like the rear turn and backup lights being separated from the rest of the light module must have been controversial. But it does help break up the wide expanse of the rear bumper and provide some visual interest.

sure is a beautiful site.

Yes mine has some scratches and stuff on it, but it's 9 years old so it's all good. Since the headlights were finally cleaned up a couple of weeks ago her face is looking fabulous :) it's great that the designers came up with the look that catches the eye and turns heads everywhere we take our Z's. The wing on mine is a bit heavy but pretty much adds the finishing touch on her. Maybe it is the wide part of the bottom or something but the Z's butt is just so round and nice.

Chari the 350Z has a big o’ a$$ and I’m fine with it. Unlike some horrid ‘designed and styled by committee’ cars that GM etc release to blight the roads, the Z is a product of form following function. The flanks and derriere of your Z shape the airflow to create a targeted low-pressure zone down in the area where the exhaust tips emerge. This in combination with the clean aero airflow of the car’s underbelly, help to speed the passage of air beneath the car and as everybody remembers from grade school “as the velocity of air increases the pressure decreases”. This is why the Z is such a stable and predictable car at high speeds. One other side benefit is exhaust gas scavenging. The low pressure zone around the exhaust tips helps to evacuate exhaust gas.
