Polished Track Wheels

3 Attachment(s)
I bought a set of Track wheels about 3 months ago. I liked them stock, but decided to get them polished this past week. Here are some pictures of my new polished Track wheels.

Nice. Are they clear-coated?

jv350z 03-26-2016 05:28 PM

Very nice. Not sure I've ever seen a set of polished V1s.

Agreed- those Rays V1 forged alloys were the nicest wheels when the 350Z was first introduced. They look even sweeter polished and not chrome plated.

I like polished, not a fan of chrome.

Nice! I feel like the lighting in the pictures/time of day aren't doing them justice. A full polish isn't my personal style but I do think it looks classy when done right.

Once you take a couple glamour shots in the evening sunlight I think even the naysayers will change their tune.

That's what I'm talking about that's what Bad Boyz Rock!!!!

So the question of the hour is how much did that run like $100 per wheel? Because thats a lot of work.

Spike100 03-27-2016 11:57 AM

 I like that look.

I assume the same technique is possible to repair scratches. Buff the scratches smooth and then polish the entire wheel. It’s nice knowing there’s a solution to “wheel rash.”

I really like them. It's nice to see something other than powder coating (no offense to anyone that has PC'd OEM wheels). They stand out, but not to the point that it takes away from the clean look of your Z.

The polishing job was $450.00. And it took 4 days and was apparently a lot of work.

Not a fan of chrome/polished elements on z, but you've done a great work! Looking realy cool!

I was pretty close... Money well spent. If you have ever tried to polish anything yourself it's super not fun. I would imagine getting done with one wheel and then ordering a whole new set.

Money well spent.

I think they look great. Nice and subtle on a stock wheel. Polishing does suck. I would have gladly paid 450 to not have to do that.

I recently picked up a set of Track v1 Wheels myself - based on your profile, we are not too far apart (I'm in NWA).

May I ask where you got these done? I would like to have mine polished also.

Thank you in advance,

Paul
