Default Introduction...again

Hey my350z,

I was a little more active on the forums when i had my 03 track... moved to Nuremberg Germany and kinda fell off the map. (Between 2010-2014). I sold my track to a soldier at Vilseck in Germany Feb. 2015. Had 72K miles (sold for $9,000 w/ LMZ5 wheels)--- needed to get rid of it fast

First child came. Moved back last summer and searched for a 350z nismo for some time. Flew out to Indy for an 08 that turned out to be trash... luckily found one an 07 a couple months later of an older guy. 42K miles, great condition for only $17,300.

Thing has been a charm since... a couple things there and there. My wife likes my old 03 track better than the 07 nismo... but, I enjoy the pleasures of being in the 1600 bracket. Wanted to say hello again.

The old Z:

*The site the pics where done is where the **** Trials occured after WWII, great place to vist... FYI

//Tell me I made a good choice gals/guys :-/

Yes, you made good choices on both wheels and cars....

Welcome back.

Both nice-looking cars. How can a red Nismo be a bad choice? Unless you want to keep a low profile.

I'm in the Lowell/Tewksbury area. There is actually another Red nismo i see from time to time in the Andover area.

I'm a much wiser person with "responsapilities" (TPB ref).. so I wanted to stay factory.

When I searched for the first Z back in 2008... i only wanted the 03 track edition. Took me a year to find one with low miles. Haha, I unfortunately ran through most of the typical problems you find in the stickies here on the forums.... "Window motors, CD player, limp mode every other day, resetting the damn window position every other 6 months...." No issues with the HR so far "Knock on wood"

Nice find on the red.
Red took a bit to get used to.

thanks for the reply

I actually wanted a white nismo... but those are almost impossible to find.

I actually had 2 sets of LMZ's for the 03 track that I bought and sold those in Germany. I have been searching for another set that I could get powder coated. The only downsize to those is the required 10mm spacer in the front to clear brembo's.

thanks for the reply

"Spacers" seems to be the topic of the week. Responded to at least two other threads that spacers were a reasonable solution.

Once again, I don't like 'em but I use 'em. I run a pair of 20mms on my front LMZ5s to get the effective offset down to +27. NO issues.

As someone else in one of those other threads said, "Make sure you get hubcentric spacers (66.1) and you won't have problems." Yep. Works for me. (And yes, I bought 'em all from a single vendor here in the SF Bay Area.... ON EBay. I ain't too proud. Heh heh.)

If i remember correctly, German Tüv auto inspection allows for the use of spacers, but need to have all 4 and have to be bolt on ones. So I actually will correct myself. I had 10mm in the back and 15mm in the front. 15mm was the bare min. to clear the front. I went with H&R because they come with a certificate required for auto inspections over there...can't put anything aftermarket on a car unless it has a TÜV cert (like DOT)

I have been contemplating to stick some on the rear of the nismo to flush the wheel up.
