Default Modding an Automatic z33?

Hey everyone. I know there are a lot of people that bag on what transmission you have whether you're stick or automatic, manumatic etc.

What are all of your thoughts on modding an automatic 350z?
Whether its Stance or performance.

Stanced - just as crappy as ever other stanced car but at least you would be wrecking the less desirable Z

Performance - It will limit the power you can make with forced induction and problems modifying final drive if you want cruise control.

Anyone that bags on stick is a moron, a moron who probably is just trying to justify their automatic.

As far as stance, if you even have to ask me giving the answer is a waste of time.

Regardless of transmission, it is your car (plus time and money). That said, you are free to do whatever you wish. While many crave "acceptance of peers" and want to give in to those who insist on a build to their specs, your car is a personal thing and not something subject to a "build by consensus".

I mean, seriously, who's the car got to please but you?

Stance= gay

Mod the car as you wish. Everything will be the same as a manual except you'll have more parasitic power loss and AT is only good to 450-500hp I believe.

Don't worry about what kind of transmission it has. Get rid of it, get rid of the engine, throw in a Tesla electric powertrain and smile as your car does 0-60 in under 3 seconds.

And while yer at it, replace the roof with SolarCity (soon to be part of Tesla, Inc) panels to power that bad boy.

Who said one doesn't get current news from a forum? Yep, you heard it here first... Tesla Motors will now be known as "Tesla, Inc." - to reflect their commitment to all types of electric power products rather than just automobiles.

Wtf are stance mods?

I don't understand modding a 350Z. Mine's closer to perfect than any car I've owned or driven.

^^^These.

Modifying for the sake of modifying makes little sense to me. Do it to suit your own taste/skills.

The argument about AT v. MT doesn't hold a lot of water either. Sure, a 6MT is part of the formula for a g-pulling track/hills/canyon runner but if that's not your bag, hey. Y'wanna cruise it, go to shows, DD, whatever, a 6MT is probably the wrong choice for that application.

The better question relates to your sig. why under 3000 rpm? That makes absolutely no sense at all.

Im about to go jump in my automatic and drive to work... The only "modification" I made was some repurposed sticky letters that now say Hater right above the element.

Upgrade to coilover suspension and leave all stock. Then you can retain the resale value of your Z.
