Dealership put in regular oil instead of synthetic in my 130,000 mile engine
I thought I had established I wanted synthetic oil, so when I got home and saw the window sticker said my next oil change was due in 3,000 miles I was suspicious. Sure enough, they threw regular in it. Looking at my invoice they charged the regular oil price.
It's a 2004, the engine has 130,000 miles, I've used synthetic since I bought it at 40,000 miles. Take it back or just run it? |

Just run it. You may want to think about high mileage oil when it's time to get your oil changed again.

I'd take it back and tell them to drain it, flush it and put what you asked for in it regardless of mileage. Its recommended in the handbook, its a sports car not some old clunker, I'd get back there and get it sorted.

The owners manual recommends conventional oil, does it not? Pretty sure I read that.

Wrong Oil?
You want the job done right...sometimes you have to do it yourself.

Take it back, have it drained and swapped.
Better yet, get a refund and do it yourself. If they do it, they will hold the car for an hour and not do it. |

They also screwed up my radiator install: https://my350z.com/forum/engine-and-...no-heater.html I've always had excellent luck at the dealership, not sure what hex I woke up with that day. |
