Hey, Supermario. Try resetting the ECU. Disconnect the negative terminal on your battery and turn your headlights on and wait 8 hours. You'll most likely reset the quota for emergency key attempts.

Resetting the ECU is not gong to free up a frozen lock cylinder - did you misunderstand the OP's issue?

Yeah, I'm aware of that. I wouldn't have suggested resetting the ECU if I though it was his lock cylinder at this point - Did you misunderstand my last response?

The OP's issue is NOT mechanical, it's electrical.

No, it's intellectual. He;s trying to steal his own car, and just doesn't get why he can't. One of the dumbest threads I've ever seen on this site.

He is never coming back so we will never know... I thought it sounded like the cylinder was bad. Not going to ever know for sure now anyways

Yeah the tumbler was what I thought too in the beginning but then when I seen more posts about the infinity remote it made me think it could possibly be that since that's something I'm unfamiliar with. Probably right about the op or he's resetting his ecu... lol

I ordered 4 dif uncut keys with fobs for g35 on ebay and maybe they will fix my problem? lol heres a pic of my key switch and metal is really just anti theft the real switch is plastic screwed into the back of the metal switch. I cant get that plastic real switch off no room for screw driver. I have to drill the headless bolt off steering column so i can turn the key switch so i can get at the screws, I can then turn the switch with a screwdriver or anything pointy. Is the chip just linked to the key switch or would my way just make starer spin and no start?

Seriously... quit fookin' with it. Tow it to the dealer, buy two fobs and have them programmed. If this repair is going to break your bank, you can't afford an Infiniti.

I mean, what's your plan here? Pull the switch apart, drive around with the switch hanging under the dash and use a screwdriver to start the car?

"key goes in and out fine it just can not turn" I must be missing something here because I don't see this as an electrical problem. Maybe I am just not familiar with Infiniti since this IS a 350 site....

Are you completely ignoring my posts? I explained that Infiniti started using I-Key in '06. You know what I-Key is, right? Did you watch the video I posted?
