The answer is so very simple and costs about $350. and takes an hour to fix.
Simply put, there are NO BETTER tweaks to a Z suspension in bang-for-buck. (Unless maybe you have an '03-04.5 with the stock shocks... )

I did, I have a tendency to get locked into things, and the only way to get them off my mind is to put them in words it seems.
I was just reading your thread where you sold your Z. That thing looks absolutely insane. I also see you have a C6 corvette, when I got rid of my z I went to a corvette as well.

My friends and I built it. They also worked on the old show Pimp My Ride and Junk Yard Empire on the Velocity channel. If you want something else cool to write about, google Tom Bostic.

Like I wrote towards the end, there is no doubt that the chassis has potential. The problem is that many people want a turn-key fun car, which the Z is until you get anywhere close to the limits. I never spun mine, but my brother in law spun his and he has much better car control than I do. He said it started to plow wide right as it started to sprinkle rain, then the next thing he knew he was in a field.
I would love to have another Z, but I always wanted a Z06 and could only keep one car, so the Z had to go! When I do get another, it certainly won't be on a stock suspension this time
corvettes seem to be the next car up for several Z owners
Its funny, when I first made the move everyone told me I would regret it. I certainly don't, but I will say that my nissan seemed to get more attention (whether that's a good thing or not) than my Z06 does.
anyway, every so often i think of my old z.. luckily i know the buyer personally, local and a mod on here so if i want to see if i can call him up. i drove it one day after having the vette for a while, was really weird feeling

The '03-04.5 stock shocks don't affect the steering attitude much, they're just the poorest riding shocks ever in a Z.
The other counterpoint - not against what you're saying, rather back on Nissan themselves - is that the Z IS a car built for the masses rather than the elite (or those that delusionally consider themselves as such...laff...).
Because of that, understeer was purposely and purposefully engineered into it. Mainly because it's safer for most drivers (to counteract in a "too-hot-oh-shid!" absence of brain-foot coordination) but also cuz they didn't want to get sued for "knowingly providing" a tail happy car to Joe or Josephine Blow.
i get more attention in my vette. you fix the heads on the Z06 (assuming its a c6)
I think it had to do more with the color of the Z and the wheels rather than the car itself.
And no, I'm in a C5Z. I was in love with the C5 platform as soon as I drove one. That, and I'm not sure I would be comfortable daily driving an LS7 the way I am with the LS6. I also thought about a base C6 but they just seemed so bland to me especially compared to their widebody counterparts.
Hey,Mic V what suspension do you recommend running I've been looking at the Bilstein B8'S tire setup is 255/45/18 in back but have been thinking about moving these up front and running 265/35/18 in the back what do you think!
