It's easy peasy. Take your time, follow the instructions carefully, and don't miss the linkage putting the valve body back in. That's the only thing I missed. It wasn't in the instructions.

Thanks for the tip!

Like he said take your time it's not hard. I used plastic cups with the letters for the bolts written on them so they don't get mixed up.

Hey guys,
Here's a link to a Youtube video showing the removal and installation of the valve body. Nothing about the mod itself but helpful nonetheless for the removal and install. He specifically mentions the linkage. |

I wouldn't call it easy least as stated above. Yes to an experienced vet in the car game it's an easy mod. Compared to doing brakes, top end engine replacements like alternator or valve cover gaskets a valve body mod is not the easiest at all. If you are mechanically inclined it shouldn't be a problem. If you are a novice in the car world, I advise having experienced help with you at the time of the install. You can tell from the diy write-up I posted above, paying attention to detail is crucial. I haven't done a G/Z valve body upgrade but I have on Chevy's back in the day and just be prepared to have a full day set aside. Take pics or make notes. |
