Default Stock clutch with aftermarket flywheel??

So i bought a brand new stock clutch for my standard 2003 350z. The clutch was originally slipping, and recently i found out that my flywheel can't be refurbished. Is there any way to place an aftermarket flywheel in conjunction with the stock clutch?? I'm trying to save as much money as possible, and can't afford the $900 on just the flywheel they're charging here. So if there are any cheaper that work well with what I got can you guys possibly send a link to some?

Be prepared for some gear lash chatter from the gearbox when you move to the Single Mass light weight flywheel (especially with the JWT unit). If you want to keep things quiet, spend the extra cash on the OEM dual mass flywheel.

Sure, you can run a stock clutch with a SMF (single mass flywheel).

For stock like performance and lowest buy-in, suggest an iron FW like: https://conceptzperformance.com/jim-...de_p_19151.php

Or for a bit of performance (with a few small tradeoffs), a lightweight like this:

https://conceptzperformance.com/jim-...f000_p_322.php

Or: https://conceptzperformance.com/sout...-2a_p_9752.php

Shop any of the vendors supporting this site (I just happened to click on the above.) Prices will vary a little from vendor to vendor.

Yes, the JWT clutch/flywheel combo is annoying at idle. According to this recent review though, https://my350z.com/forum/2003-2009-n...ch-review.html, combining the JWT flywheel with the ZSpeed clutch got rid of a lot of that chatter noise. That'll be my next clutch.

Key words on those last couple of warnings.... "light" and "weight". For that reason, chose the iron flywheel from JWT when replacing clutch on son's HR equipped car. The usual HR CD009 chatter did NOT get louder with this flywheel...quite the opposite actually, of what people complain about with lightweight flywheels (amongst the other negatives that to me, outweigh the benefits of going lightweight).
