Default Best guess??

So I know cars all have a mind of their own, and I know some days they can be moody but recently I've been noticing that every time I start my Z it feels different performance wise. Some days she feels perky and alive and other days she feels sluggish and less responsive. The only thing I can think of is that it's her way of showing that she's 14 years old. Any thoughts on why this happens or if it's to be expected from a 14 year old car?

OK, no offense but yours is about the 6th in a line of questions in the last few days from people asking questions about their cars without any real explanation of what the car is actually doing....

I mean, "Some days she feels perky and alive and other days she feels sluggish and less responsive."..... really???? How is anyone supposed to know what that means??

C'mon people, this isn't the psychic friends forum. Jeebus....

And.... my 14 year old Nissan runs like it should... delivers where it needs to and is responsive to every input so "being 14 years old" sounds like a cop out for a poorly maintained vehicle.

Mine's only 12. I really hope she doesn't start acting out once she becomes a teen-ager?

Perhaps it is related to how many cups of coffee the driver has had in the morning.

Just a thought without any real information given, but maybe it's the ecu in lazy vs. performance mode

Old air filter - needs replacement. That, or your blinker fluid is low.

@ OP-
My 06 roadster has 106k and runs like a bat out of hell (for a 3.5L NA).

You will get real help when you state the mileage, any mods and explain all the engine maintenance you've done. Including oil changes, air filter, pvc, injector cleaning, etc.
gl!
