build help request (with decent budget)
greetings.
i have a request to help build my engine for hp and acceleration.
i know this kind of question been asked a lot but me i have a little more details regarding my needs so i suppose it will be more simple to answer.
am looking to know "what parts" i need to buy. kinda like a list.
i do not need brands and models. this i can manage.
i just need to know exactly what are the full parts i need to invest in and not forget.
this project is important to me and i created a account here in order
to find help from pros and tuners
if you guys had a 2008 Nissan 350z STOCK
and have a budget of ($15,000) to play with for the engine
could you please tell me what you would do to increase its power
and stability to the maximum with that budget?
additional info:
-it would be a everyday use car "no tracking".
-will want SC no turbo. (aiming at vortech)
-i work in a tire company. i have lower prices on tires (if you can suggest size etc)
-i personally do not know if rear camber (only) on a rear w drive is a good idea (am i wrong?)
-will be on bags with Airlift kits dual compressors setup.
-will want to dyno (not sure how this works but i will get it done)
-it will be a automatic transmission since i have water issues in my knees.
had to sell my civic due to that problem... "yes you can laugh at me all you
want... it will not stop me from trying to befriends with the bigboys and have as much fun as you guys even if it isn't manual.
i heard there's a limit to what you can boost until you start getting
frequent problems happening sooner.
so there.. i thank you in advance to who ever takes the time to help me
with this.
PS:
i know stock intakes are good in that car but since its an old car i think
i will get new ones to refresh it up a little. This is the only question i would appreciate a few good brands for me to check up.
and also... are pop chargers still in use these days ? or is it a dead thing ?
Jeff.

RE: your drivetrain, check out the Engine and Drivetrain forum, and more specifically, the HR sub forum.
Re: your wheels and suspension, check out the Wheels and Tires and Brakes and Suspensions forums.
If you have any questions about specific issues, that aren't general in nature like this first post, then ask away in the designated forums and you'll get the help you need.
Good luck with the build.

ty for your answers. but i do think most.. "if not all" didnt understand what i asked.
i simply asked to know what are the parts needed to fully tune a car.
"some parts are needed some are not" etc
here is what i came up with and came here to find out if i was missing anything to compleate a build.
-wheels
-air intake
-radiator
-brakes
-suspension
-Differential
-supercharger
-Exhaust
-resonated test pipes
-motordyne spacer
-spark plugs
-hydroshields
-Underdrive pulley
-ECU Tuning
-Dyno tune
anything important missing.....?
that's all i wanted to know...
i am not asking to know what brand to get or what is best or if Y is better than X
i didn't come here to get insulted... especially by people who once asked questions as well.
you certainly didn't came out the womb with a mechanic's degree!
but thanks anyways.
i guess i will try to focus by my self instead of asking help here.
take care all.

O man if I had an 08 and $15k to throw away on nothingness I would just trade it in for a faster car with better suspension and more HP.
Actually I would probably get a new jeep... Or maybe just throw it all away on a super cool party... Yeah a party.
Who wants to attend my party?

lol
and i actually have 2 other cars and a truck.
1 of them sold like i said on my first post and will use some of the money on my budget to tune a 350z.
and yes i could tomorrow morning go finance something with way more power.
but i do like the z and its all about the fun of buying parts for it.
that's all.

Yep, the most important thing.... making a determination of your own skills in relation to the potential of the stock HR vehicle and pushing your potential to exceeding 80% of the car's potential. (If you are Josef Newgarden, you can disregard the rest of this.)
A third of your budget spent on that will probably save you from spending another third on useless hardware and the last third spent on those components that will allow you to fully use those skills learned with the first third of your budget.
Let me elucidate:
1. One week of advanced driving school.
2. Suspension, tires, wheels, lowered rear gear.
3. Put the rest in the bank.
Gads, said I gave up trying but I can't keep myself from suggesting that again.
