Stock Antenna
Hi Forum Can anyone tell me how to remove the stock antenna mast from my 350z roadster? The plastic rubber base on mine is cracked and I am not getting good reception. I thought i might just unscrew but it is not turning and I am wrecking the rubber base even more. Any advice on which one to get and from where would be appreciated. thanks

If all you're trying to do is remove the antenna mast, just turn it counter-clockwise until it comes off. If you're tossing it anyway and it won't move, use a pair of pliers.

Hi I know this is a old tread and I have changed out my antenna since than. I was wondering if anyone knows if a stock 04 350z roadster with a bose radio with 6 cd and no nav has a amplified antenna booster built into the car. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Thanks a lot I thought so. Could you tell me where's it's located and if there is way to test or replace it. My radio works but allot of stations that should be clear are not so and have background static. Thanks

I guess you could disconnect it and hook up another to see if it makes it better.
I went to a car stereo place today and they told me the car doesn't have a antenna booster. But when I pulled the radio I saw other wires connected to the antenna wire that's what made me ask on forum. The guy at the car stereo store said get a new head unit. I'm thinking and if it's a antenna problem the new units going to do the same thing. So I guess I need to test the one in the car some way. Or try an external and bypass original and see.
