Default How much would you guys spend for a blown motor?

I might have a chance to pick up a blown DE off a guy here pretty soon.

Apparently he threw a rod. I was looking to pick it up for cheap to use some parts and flip the rest. What do you guys think a fair price would be for a blown DE with 100k +/- NA?

I've got an idea in my head but want to see what everyone else thinks it's worth.

It's worth slightly over scrap honestly because no one is going to buy it

If its complete with the plenum and starter and alternator and heads and you know a complete motor... $150-$200

Just the work pulling it out is worth that I think.

The last two blocks I bought to part out, relatively complete were in the $200 range.

Just take cash and tell the seller that you're taking a huge risk and assuming alot by purchasing a blown motor ... if the cylinder walls or crank are gouged it's scrap.

If its got good heads and plenum plus accessories I'd agree with the 1-200.
