Default Nav swap to non nav

The title says it all, I have a 04 roadster with oem nav, I really want to install the new head units with the apple car play, so the oem nav is useless in my opinion. I want to basically get rid of the nav and have the oem non nav storage compartment. Has anyone done this and run into problems. Before the vets bash on me saying you should google it etc. I tried for 2 days and nothing relevant came up. Thanks for reading

If you've just gotta do this, you'll need to pull the screen, nav harness and DVD nav system behind the seats. Haven't heard of anybody doing this b/c it simply drives down the resale price of their car. But you'd be the first, so create a DIY thread if you do...

Why not just pull the navigation waterfall cubby section and install a non navigation waterfall cubby. Then just tape all the connections so its reversible if you want.

Agreed.

When you decide to sell your car, you are going to want to put that navigation back.
