Default Front wheel hub

Hi, I have a '06 350z with standard front 225/r45 18" and 245/r45 18" rear. I heard 245 width wheels could fit on the front of the car to have a square setup without any modifications, but last time I had it jacked up in the air I tried to place the rear wheels up front to test it, but there is this thing in between 2 of the lugs not allowing the rear wheel to go on the front hub completely. I didn't think of taking pictures but I found a pic online of what mine looks like, I don't know what it is.
