Had a dream last night. My Z weighed 2750 lbs with me in it and it was caged. This should be fun.

i've seen drifters use that bash bar and looks pretty cool, but is there a purpose of having the splitter on that as well as the bash bar? or is it just throwing money at the car.

Just throwing money. I'm not getting one. I don't see the purpose unless I was trying to set time attack world records. (It's for downforce)
And double no. This bash bar still allows you to run your front bumper and mounting the splitter there is just....ya it's just for looks.

How serious are you about getting down to 2700lbs?
About as serious as a glass of milk.
I'm not a big fan of throwing money at things. For example, i'm not going to get carbon fiber fenders and doors, etc. Especially when I account for this car getting a bit dinged up from time to time.
But cutting headlight / taillight housings and replacing with LED strips, removing all the double layering of metal/fiberglass on everything. Replace the glass with lexan. Would be a fun project. (obviously there's much more involved than what I listed).

you wont gain any power through weight reduction but you will gain acceleration, handling, braking, efficiency, top speed(arguably), etc...
I got a thread on the 'other' forum official 3point5 weight reduction with my weight reduction proceedings ... with the modified turbo setup I'm in the 2950lb range ...

Should be fun! I'm likely gonna finish adding weight before taking it down. Really hoping to get a cage going in the next 3-4 weeks
Anyways. Ordered more tires. Definitely need to find a way to get free tires. Wish I could melt down old ones and pour the molten rubber into a new mold.
I really don't like how huge this pan appears to be in comparison to the stillen pan. Especially given that they hold the same capacity. I only went with this because it has the baffles molded on the bottom. To be honest, the stillen one might have them too, but I couldn't find a photo of the inside.

The OEM hatch weight 70 to 80lbs depending what all is on it (wiper, wiper motor, spoiler, plastic, wiring, etc.) A dry carbon fiber weighs around 10-15lbs and a fiberglass is in the 20 to 25lb range.
I found a beat-to-**** cf/fg hatch on craigslist maybe 18months ago and I've been playing with it to see if I can bring it back to life. I paid around $250 for it and it came with glass. I figured I can sell the glass and essentially get the hatch for free.
I run a spacer bc I got one pretty cheap without an extension but I need to add one. I usually put as much oil as I can into the crank case per the filling stick.
Id go with the concept z bc it doesnt sit as low as the stillen - both probably clear the oil pan fine but having the pan 'that' much further away from the road & road debris would be my selling point...

Perfect. I'll likely end up with a carbon creations carbon hatch. Pretty cheap and my hood has proved to not be reliable at speed haha.
