Default Vq35de engine build

title says it all , I am rebuilding the engine from my 2003 350z, I’ve been thinking about going turbo , lower compression but I would like some insight from anyone who’s built their Vq35de for more power ! I plan on building a drift car btw..

Why would you go lower compression?

Yeah - Not sure why you’d want lower compression. You may be thinking about a low-boost build.

Either way if you rebuild the engine you will want to at least consider a stroker build which would increase compression.

lower compressor would allow for more boost.

You can make more power with boost than with compression.

There is no point in going low compression for 99% of the turbo builds for the 350z.

OP head over to the engine section. This forum is too generalized. You will find good information there from people who have tried all kinds of setups.

Ultimately, it all comes down to how much money you want to spend. That and the use of the car and how it suits you as a driver.
