Default Yearly report from oldest 350Z owner on the forum

Turned 81 last Sunday. Health is good and my 84 year old wife is doing fine. No mechanical problems with the Z. 114,000 miles. Drives smoothly. Do have a few rattles due to Tucson potholes. Made one major mistake. For 10 years I handwashed the car. Six months ago I started to take it to a car wash. Three weeks ago I found a dent in the bottom of the passenger door that I figure happened when the guy vacuuming in the car wash slammed it against some post. I learned my lesson. Back to hand washing. Mostly around town driving but did go up to the Barrett Jackson auction in Scottsdale in January. Still such a great pleasure to drive on the highway. Be back next year.

Congrats to you and the Mrs., Bob! Not sure I'll be moderating the forum in 20-some years but as long as I'm able, will ALWAYS be DRIVING*A* Nissan (or Datsun) Z-Car, and hopefully my little roadster too!!

Change your .sig, it's a couple years outdated!

Hi Bob. As Mic suggests, remove your age from your signature. Your signature is 79 and you are now 2 years older, and being an octogenarian driving a 350z is very impressive.

I plan driving my 350z until age 80, but I have 10 years to go before reaching my goal. And... I love reading your posts.

Nothing makes me happier than imagining my grandfather ripping donuts in my Z.

Happy birthday. You're definitely one in a million, driving a Z in your 80's. All the best.

Always glad to see your reports, and even better, how much you enjoy your Z! Yeah, sometimes all those hand washings can be a chore (creaky knees), but it's worth it.

Another happy year, Bob. If the paint's ok on the dent, you could try taking it to a paintless dent repair shop. I've seen these guys work miracles without using Bondo.

Be true to your values but remain open to the opinions and beliefs of others. Be kind, particularly to those who are weaker. Live life to the fullest, whatever that means to you. Life goes by a lot quicker than you realize.

I’m going to do that as soon asI have some time. That dent is annoying. Its the only one on the car.

That is a beautiful and wise statement that would come from an elder who has "life-experience."
