Default Help exhaust issue

So i took my 05 z to get custom true dual exhaust.
they put 2.25 inch pipe. So no more y pipe no more resonator no muffler.
They said 2.5 wont fit. Long story short.
giving the car gas sounds like a lawn mower is chasing me. How do i fix the issue of that extreme rasp lawn more sound. It sounded better before with stock y pipe and resonator and muffler delete.

WOW! I think you took the cheap route but that's understandable, lesson learned now you need to go back and purchase a complete dual exhaust unit complete with every component in one kit Borla is one among quite a few based on your own personal taste, look for quality name brand companies in the exhaust arena. Or if your on a budget build your exhaust by purchasing one component at a time muffler,xy-pipe,hfc's,or straight pipe,I think you get the idea GL!!!

Funny how things change, Ark was known as the cheap knock off brand of ARC while replicating HKS, now its considered a quality brand.

I removed the resonator few years back. Worst decision ever. The rasp was embarrassing, low end torque gone and the VQ sound lost. Following week got it welded back on.I finally appreciated the stock exhaust sound after that..

I did the same thing as well but I replaced it with a vibrant resonator better airflow but still retaining the VQ sound worked out being a good exchange something to think about if someone decides to go this route as well.

It’s not really cheap, and they pretty much perfected that style of exhaust.

Not disagreeing with you that they are not cheap. The sentiment towards Ark wasn't always positive when they first arrived... Maybe one day Varrstoen will be as good as Volk?
