So I'm thinking of buying a 350z

Looking for helpful information not to be bashed.
I'm 18 and me and my dad are looking to buy a 350z. This is not my first car I started off driving a really high mileage Nissan Xterra which lasted me a year before the already rebuilt transmission went out again. I then started driving my dads 6 speed 2009 BMW 328i for about a year before I was in an hit n run accident in which it was totaled (No I was not at fault nor was I the one that ran). I have read a lot about a kids getting this car totaled and was wondering if that is because the kids do not have enough respect for their lives and cars or is it just a dangerous car. I have had almost 3 years of driving experience and have learned a lot about rwd cars through the BMW (I'm sure not enough). Sorry if this is a spam post I will delete and post where ever its suppose to be.

I am not a kid, but I own both Nissan and BMW m3. I rather drive my basic but built 350z. raw power and super simple to handle and push. 5/10 to fix and replace most parts.

Its kids being dangerous that totals the car i'd say. i'm 17 and i really would love to drift in it, but i don't have enough money set aside for a set of burner tires. bad tires with a good amount of power is a bad mix. Most kids don't think about destroying their tires and end up sliding into trees and other people. I always leave vdc on so I don't "accidentally" drift around a corner. keeps my tires away from needless wear and tear.
