Default New owner,. Need some advice-Vinyl Wraps

Wrapping my 2005 Nissan 350Z Enthusiast burnt orange seats and all.

Just picked up this baby and its been about 6 months. Had a lot of interior/exterior work done but all the necessities are finally finished.

the car came with with several notable missing parts..car handles, car wide slash marks, leaking fluid containers, 4 fuses broken. etc. 6 months later and a lot of work in, its finally ready for a "cosmetic" upgrade ^^

Its shy of 95k miles. Craigslist deal from what seems "you cheated on me so I will smash your car" situations. Im the happy owner now!

What I do need now is advice. Im torn between two colors for wrapping this girl. I needed general advice on the pros and cons of both. please lend me some good old 350z advice.

Im confused between the solid dark red 350z. classic sports color. VS the eye catching satin black + gold.

The red would be alright and the black, you have no parts to highlight tastefully in gold. IMO you need better wheels way before getting a wrap.

I personally think the black looks cheap. A lot of people platidip their cars black and kind of ruined it for me. Are you wrapping it yourself or taking it to a shop?

Dark red gets my vote. I'm not into matte finishes (on entire cars) but that's just me. Reminds me of the "70s de riguer Primer" look.

My vote is red. I plastidipped my B13 when I had it, so whenever I see a matter or flat black car I think of my B13 with rust holes lol.

Also, what brand are you buying? Some are better ham others and you’re better off buying more then enough in case there are mistakes when applying.

Vvivid is rebranded ebay/China stuff. Best to post heat as it tends to lift.

Do it in the shade, the sun distorts the vinyl when applying and you can see the adhesive patterns and squeegee marks on the surface at certain angles and lighting. Looks like azz, I see pros making this mistake.

Update bump. Due to the hurricanes lately, the stuff i ordered will come a few weeks late. Lots of work so far interior and exterior.

waiting on some parts to come in to replace to broken bumper (front and rear) and then more into performance mods, exhaust, rings etc. Christmas budget rims maybe

Not bad for first time. Ease up on the heat, you'll have a lot less distortion and stretch marks.
