There was a production change on Z33 brakes back with the 07-08 refresh. The standard brakes were increased in size and diameter. You should return the rotors you purchased and get the correct ones for your '08 Z before you start the work. If you have the Brembo brake option, there's a separate rotor spec for the front and rear of those as well.

dkmura is correct! Except I'm pretty sure the standard brakes (front rotors/calipers) were enlarged starting with the late 05 or early 06 model years and continued up to 08. I know this all to well because when I sold my old 06 standard brake rotors, I had a guy with an 03 or 04 G35 wanting to purchase them, obviously he didn't do his research and I brought this to his attention ending the sale.

As dkmura said, return them for the correct model/year range. The front rotors are larger diameter for 06+ standard brakes. Brembos are also unique, requiring different sized rotors.

i mean now that i know they different, they fit in my 2008 , ? no matter if they smaller , but do they fit?

Mind made up obviously.

Why ask if you don't want to follow the advice?

My friend brake/rotors stuff is not like car seats. I saw your post right after you posted but stayed away because I wasn't exactly sure. Luckily you got very knowledgeable members to answer. Just do the right thing and stay safe

Hoo boy, let's make this perfectly clear. The rotors you bought will NOT function properly with the 2008 caliper and pad configuration. Brakes are designed to use a specific swept area and the rotors you have do NOT fit! 'Nuff said.

Oh wow, i think that's the answer i was looking for, now im scared for real, imma need to send them back ;(

Not to turn this into a dumpster fire discussion or anything but......

Technically they would fit, but this would also require your to replace your front calipers in order to achieve proper brake pad contact (As dkmura stated so eloquently). This would effectively be a downgrade and require a whole bunch more labor/money than simply returning/swapping rotors for the correct ones (not to mention adding confusion to the correct replacement parts the next time rotors/pads need to be ordered).

Good Luck!

Just return them, it's just the wrong part

I came across a similar issue. I have a 2005 Enthusiast, bought slotted rotors from amazon for my year and found that they were a tiny pit larger and wouldn't fit under the caliper bracket.

Thankfully found a member selling his 2008 calipers (front/back) and bought them, so a slight upgrade. I have marked the calipers and rotors with the words '2008 350z' in a discrete place for the next owner, if there will be one.
