2003/350z Cubby Lid fix
 

I was at work recently and my father was inspecting and having a look at my 350z (I caught the train in) he tried to force the cubby lid in the center dash closed and it snapped off the metal bracket... The lid is intact and the metal bracket isn't damaged either, how would I fix this? Remove the center dash cover? Any help would be nice.

Its not difficult to remove the entire cluster lid/finisher piece (maybe 4 or 5 screws and 2 wiring harnesses). I am not exactly sure what is broken or where the metal bracket has fallen out from, maybe you can put up a picture or be more descriptive? I have an 03, and I have had the lid out from my Z many times (if we are referring to the same piece), but never had the metal bracket fall out on me.

I ma trying to fix the lid on the cubby for a 2003 and bought a replacement part, but it appears it is a roll up lid rather than a pop up. Is there a different part i need? I can only find the same type of roll up lids.
