Air intake

Dont even know where to start for an air intake, what is over price and what is a good one?

Just do a simple search, bud. There are 15 years worth of information on intakes.

Honestly, the OEM intake is pretty well designed. If you do decide to go aftermarket, don't forget that you will need to have your ECU retuned to actually benefit from adding the intake.

813 has it right; the factory air box is well designed. With almost a straight shot of air to the plenum, composite materials that don't absorb heat as quickly and a clever touch for swappable air cleaners, it's a hard combination to beat.

What year is your Z?
I have a 2004, and I "made the mistake" of getting a Stillen. Do not take me wrong, I love it, and it goes with my NWP kit; BUT, an airbox from a 2006+ will get done the same job for a smaller price.
I look for something practical, and not "pretty" like a Pop charger.
The 2006+ airbox come with a venturi ring, wich is all the secret for a good air flow, maybe also with a aftermarket z tube. With that box, I will sugest an aftermarket filter instead the regular paper one.
That's more than enough.
If you go for looks, get the pop charger, but it won't give a good amount of HP, compared to other mods you could get, incuding a tune.

Mine is a 2008, so you think a oem airbox will do the trick

Well, whatever you get, you’ll need two each. Laff. :icon17:

Honestly though, HR flows pretty well in stock form. I’d spend the money elsewhere.

You have a ton of options, ranging from drop-in panel filters, to 3" intakes (that require a tune just to run). I think this video explores your options better than any other video I've seen.
