Looks can be deceiving. If the Z performs better on the track than a mildly modded E36 M3 then I will be delighted. Those M3s are so easy to drive fast and their stock 0-60 is already sub 6 seconds.

Default Colors

I find the blue to be a very very beautiful color. very bright and lively. But the silverstone wont attract as many cops as the redline blue or orange will do. But both colors are great. Get whatever makes you happy.

Hehe....

C'mon...just kidding. I drive a bimmer too. The M3 was my first choice for a new car, but for 20K less, I gotta take the Z.

Exsilio

That M3 of yours looks hideous. In fact, it's so ugly, it's offensive

back to the topic~ the colour really depends on ur environment and where u live, like if there's a bunch of bastard in ur city that they like to key nice cars then u definitely don't want a sharp colour. remember this is Z, it's not a simple sedan, with a simple colour it's already eye catching, if u add a bit colour into it, then it might stand out too much and u might end with a lot of troubles to try to stop someone bothering ur car.

Sabre,

In all seriousness, at your age you have many years and many cars ahead of you. Judging from the pre-order survey, here's how it works:

Age 18 - 34 Youth controls everything you do - you'll go for Blue, Yellow or Black.

Age 35 - 40 Conservative phase - you'll go for Silver.

Age 41+ Midlife crisis - you'll go for bright Red.

Age 47+ Back to Silver.

So you see, you have plenty of opportunity to go Silver.

Excilio: Again, I really like the look of the car. It is awesome. But like you said, "And once you step inside, turn on the 333hp inline 6...oh yeah, it's an animal of a car."

See, you have to step inside and start it up and go to see just how powerful it is. My point was, with the Z, seeing alone, is believing.

Tim: I love the Family Truckster mod you added to the M!

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to find me some aloe vera for these 2nd degree burns now comprising %50 of my body!

Between silver and blue, I'd go blue, and I'm 23. Between touring and enthu I'd go touring. Unless you want to do the 'touring' stuff yourself, which is understandable. For me, I don't want to monkey with the interior at all. Just want FI of some kind, and my car will be finished. (or so I'll say when I'm justifying the price of the kit to myself)

Don't get Silverstone. I heard after mine rolls off the assembly line Nissan is going to retire the Silverstone color.

I struggled deciding between several colors including Daytona and SIlverstone. Just narrow it down to the choices you know you'll be happy with -- be it two colors or all 8 -- and then flip a coin, draw numbers from a hat, draw straws, etc. Or go with your gut and then DON'T SECOND-GUESS YOURSELF! For me it was hell deciding whether to change my color; I wasn't at peace until my date for changes passed and my decision was set in stone.

Default Color choice

I'm currently torn between the Brickyard, the Blue and the Silver. I have no idea how to choose--they all look so good! I would definitely get the blue, except my other car is blue and do I really want two blue cars around? Especially since they would be almost the same color blue too?

Well, thanks everyone for their suggestion. Today, I finalized my preorder for a Daytona Blue Enthusiast. I was the 11th out of 12 spots and they said mine will arrive with the first shipment around Aug. 15. Sooner than I thought I might get it.

Sabre: Man I hate to burst your bubble but I don't think there is any way in hell you're going to get delivery in August. You'll probably be looking at Oct/Nov. A little help out there? Isn't this how it works? I'm pretty sure ZISME laid it out like that. I ordered in March and probably won't get it until Sept.

I thought I would get it later in the fall as well. However, the dealership said it is part of the first group arriving in August. I don't know why he would have to lie to me about it. I'll stay in contact with the dealership to see if this is true.

dr bonz, i'm with you. sabre, this isn't a flame at all, it's just how could the dealer know which shipment it's going to come on if you just finalized your order today? i don't know whom to believe in this whole mess. seems like everyone's dealer is telling him that the car is coming in the first shipment. my dealer told me that too. do i hope it's true? yeah. do i believe it's true? heck no.

I just pre-ordered my Z on 5/31, and was told by my dealer that the 1st shipment was due out Aug.15th, but Nissan definitely pushed back the date to September. He didn't specify what date in September, but for ordering so late I was told that the my order would arrive in mid-Sept to Early Oct. (but most likely before October, he said). Hope this helps....
