Z's for sale?

I find this interesting, as I was driving down the road I drove past two dealer ships with used Z's out front. One was a mazda deal the other a toyota but both proudly displayed, with a nissan dealer in between them.

your point is?

The point would be that the Z sells well enough to have competing dealers go out and buy Z's to sell at their lot even though there is a nissan dealer right next door. So if you wanted to sell you'r Z there are lots of demand for them. And years down the road the resale will be high do to high demand. Thats the point.

maybe i am skeptical but what that says to me was that someone may have been unhappy with the Z for whatever reason, tire feathering for one, and traded her in on maybe the RX8 at the Mazda dealer or something sporty at the Toyota dealer. The fact that they are out front on these lots is not that surprising because 1)they are very attractive cars 2)joe public doesnt know of these problems, and 3) they are more than likely stickered cheaper than the new ones next door thus they can directly market to the Nissan's customers. Clever strategy on their part. Does say something about Nissan customer service doesnt it? If someone had a good experience with Nissan, why would they trade in to the Mazda or Toyota Dealer, why not go for another Nissan. Just a speculation, but hey its still a little funny. would love to know the history of those used cars.

I'm gonna have to go with grifferjr on this one. Only maybe they went with something practical at the Toyota dealership.

yeah we are still a year or three away from the release of toyotas next sports car, the rebirth of the Supra. Personally I cant wait for that. but thats a seperate topic.

I suspect that they were not traded as most dealers go to auctions to buy their cars and the one at mazda stickers for 31k for a touring model. When the z was new some dealers sold the z at the auction for 3-5k over sticker brand new because of demand.
