Um, ok?
Actually, I think the tires on my G are rated at 180 with the sport package.

While the tires are part of the problem, they are soft, that is not the cause, more the result.... Good alignment and better tires will help, as will a different, less bouncy suspension.
Also, as for potential, I think the G has almost as much as the Z, and when I am done, it won't matter, it will be faster than 98% of the Z's on the road (hint: F/I).

If you don't want that sports car look and feel any more, then the G sedan will suit you just fine. But don't kid yourself into thinking it will be a head turner like the Z, or be as nice to drive.

triso07 no offense but the 350z is about as common around here as a altima. I just saw 3 while i was sitting at a intersection on my way home. There is only 3 g sedans and 4 coupes that i know of in my area, all autos too.
Plus anytime i go ANYWHERE i get asked so many questions about the G, and plus the girls love it and i can fit 6 of them in the back.
Don't get me wrong but i love the Z to death, (i would have bought one but insurance was gona kill me). Its just far to common in certain areas, same w/ the G.
btw my G is just as nice to drive as a Z, and it does turn many heads.

It is obvious you have not had yours for long, and I respect that you really enjoy your car. While I think the Z is a GREAT looking car, too many minor issues for me and Nissan service stinks. The Z is very common, probably more so than a G35. I think both are head turners (wait to you see mine), and after a year and a half of ownership, it was time to move on.
Also, I do want the sports car look, I plan to buy an RX-7 or 240sx and do a SR20 swap. If I could have the Z and G I would, but I can't. I also wanted a car I could take to the track and not worry about it (the Z was too much money to run at the track and be my only car).

I also wouldnt classify a "stock" G35 as a head turner either. I mean come on, it's a four-door family sedan, who are we kidding here?
Besides, I dont know about where you live but here in T.O. the G35 sedan is a dime a dozen. For every Z i see on the streets I see at the very least FIVE G's.

Just a few too many problems with the Z, mainly the tranny that was getting worse by the day. I am also tired of dealing with Nissan's crappy service. I also think I want something a little nicer as my only car. When I bought the Z, I had a pretty nice Maxima as a second car.
All in all, I love about 98% of the Z. It is a fun car to drive, and it will be missed. Honestly, the G should be most of what the Z is when I am finished with it, and I think I will get better service if I do have issues, along with a lot more room (although that was not really an issue for me). I did not buy the coupe because I plan to buy another sports car soon, either a 240 and do a SR swap, or something like a used RX-7. So, I did not want to end up with two 2 door cars
I sold my wheels and am working on selling the diffuser to members here, I plan to install the Stoptech's and Nismo suspension on the G, along with some of the other Nismo things I own.
I will still be part of this board, as I have been around since the early days, and the Z will be missed.
Thanks to all that have provided input to me, and I hope you will continue to do so, I feel like I am still part of the family (maybe not a brother, but a close cousin)....
