Yet another "poor man's NAV"...

Well, this might look like a joke, but I did it because it's actually useful (I have a poor -- no, nonexistant -- sense of direction). It lights up when you press the top, too, so it works at night.

Well, what else is this empty space good for?

What do you think? Lame, or clever? Stupid, or useful?

Whatever works! Its nice to have somewhere to put things that could look silly if it were out in the open (all the time). I was thinking until I get my screen, to put a bobbing head dog in there. A sales man at the hummer dealership said he would put a condom machine in there (he was a bit weird but the H2 was off the hook).

I think there is something wrong with my nav, all it does is play episodes of the 70's sitcom What's Happening.

Frank if I had known it could do that, I would have gotten my Touring with the Navigation!

z350z, why don't you order the Auto-Dimmming Rearview mirror with the built-in digital compass:

I think I saw it for sale on some site, but don't remember which...

Frank. That is the funniest thing I have seen in a while. I wish I ordered nav.

Why Not A Hand-Held GPS?

With the Nissan installed NAV for $2000, do you have to pay a monthly subscription for the service? There are hand held units that would probably mount in that designated area that sell for about $500. these units have color screens and many of the same bells and whistles.

There is NO monthly subscription for ANY Nav units. If you want an updated map CD (optional: every year or two), there is a nominal charge.

Hey, at least you can hide it when you don't want anyone to see you have no sense of direction.

But I have to admit, it makes me chuckle when I see it.

:D :p :D :p :D
