I can only quote you the *MSRP* price for this stuff. The Random Tech cats were around 650, and the GReddy system was right at around 1300....Your cost may vary.

I'm tellin' you though, the first time my right foot hit the floor, it was all worth it....

Kinetix Plenum is next, then Tein C/S and EDFC kit. Not sure about intake upgrades....I think I might just drop a K&N filter into the stock box. MAF sensors are expensive, and I don't want to keep replacing it due to oil fouling from the filter.

How much louder than stock exhaust do you think it is?

It is noteably louder than stock when you lay into it but it's still within legal limits (or so I'm told). At idle, you'd probably have a hard time telling the difference between the GReddy and stock, but at 4K RPM and your right foot on the floor, it's pretty boomin'. You gotta love it!

Sorry I can't give you any decibel levels, I just don't have that information. Anybody in the No. VA area have a sound meter and want to do a little test?

I think the beauty of the combination of this exhaust, the HF cats and the VQ35 is that you get a nice deep bass at the low end of the guage, then at the upper half, you get a nice powerful note. It never gets whiny like you'd hear with an inline 4.

Kcobean, the exhaust looks great; not to nitpick, but from the pics it looks as though the right side tailpipe is not quite centered under the exhaust semi-circle on the bumper as the left side tailpipe. Also, looking at the pictures, it looks like the pre-mufflers under the center tunnel are quite close to the floorpan. Does the exhaust hit the floor (and consequently you hear noises) when you go over rough pavement/bumps?

I think you're right about the right pipe, but to be honest, I hadn't even noticed that. I sure will now though, and it'll drive me nuts....Thanks alot . Seriously though, that's probably a simple adjustment to make.

As for the pre-mufflers (or are they called "resonators", I have no idea), I've never heard any rattling or felt unusual vibration (other than the rumble from the exhaust itself) that would indicate they are striking the underside of the car.

well, regarding the right side pipe, it could just be the picture you took. I looked again at the pictures, specially the one you took from the center rear of the car, and the pipes look pretty well centered. Glad to hear your exhaust is not hitting the underside of the Z. Again, very nice......

I wish I did, but unfortunately I haven't done that comparison. I'd love to get the car on a dyno, but I don't where there is one around here.

GReddy doesn't post any gains specs on their site, and neither does Random Tech, so really, the only way to know what the gains are is to hit the dyno. bummer, eh?
