Man....I dont have one yet...I keep hearing all this good stuff and everyone is sooo happy. I get jeolous but at the same time when I hear all this good stuff about the car I get sooo excited too...its weird. I cant wait to get one but ill probably have to wait another year. :(

madmonkey 10-02-2002 12:51 AM

Amen man, youre not the only one in this position.

john0213 10-02-2002 01:34 AM

same here~!;)

Phi-1002- 10-02-2002 04:42 AM

Mine won't be in until February at the earliest:(

Burke 10-02-2002 04:58 AM

I feel your pain! My current lease isn't up until April so my hands are tied. There are so many cars out now that I love with the Z being close to the top. Come on Spring of 2003!!!!!

pluckyduck 10-02-2002 05:53 AM

at least 2 more months for me... The wait is killing me. It's so bad that I'm even looking forward to pulling out all the Bose crap.

I'm placing my order within the next 2 weeks. Who knows what they'll tell me for a delivery time and who knows what that delivery date will actually be. At least I'll have plenty more money saved up by the time the car gets to me.

jasonintoronto 10-02-2002 06:41 AM

i'm also a z-wannabe. but i'm waiting patiently while i try to find a nice condo to buy here in the city.

morganjd 10-02-2002 07:56 AM

I'm with you guys. I need to buy a house (and a garage) first. That and lack of availability is keeping the Z from me.

Bosshog 10-02-2002 09:15 AM

I feel ya, I'm in the same boat, just landed a new job and starting to save up. I won't go out and purchase a Z until I have enough money to put down and lower the monthly payments to less than 450$ month. I'm thinking I'll get a Enthusiast model in Daytona Blue, probably by March :).

bamos 10-02-2002 09:45 AM

Me too

Still thinking it over. I could stretch my budget and afford an Enthusiast if I could get it for MSRP. But, if I did, it would be my only car, and it's a bit small for that. I would need some kinda beater. I was thinking of the G35 Coupe, but the price is a bit higher, and I'm not sure I can stretch quite that far.

That said...I have driven a Z though. Very sweet even though it was an auto.

I was in that position . . no pre-order, was so busy at work I didn't even hear about the new Z until July. I went to local dealers and they told me they could order me one for delivery in March or April. I decided to just sell my car (2000 Mazda Millenia) and then find a Z once it was sold. I sold the Mazda last Saturday and made a deal with a pre-order buyer way out of state who took an earlier delivery on a different vehicle (that buyer backed out). My car is already in and I talked to the dealer and am getting it for MSRP plus 145 doc fee and delivery to me (1500 miles away) for a price. Should have it middle of next week. It was fate baby. I can't wait.

Christmas don't come till Feb! :icon32:

350zSpeedRacer 10-02-2002 11:08 AM

Patiently waiting for April to get here. I only just ordered mine and I'm already jealous of those who have theirs. Patience is not one of my virtues.

In the mean time, I'm saving my pennies for a house (more importantly a garge) and the down payment. Thank goodness for a Christmas bonus!! :icon04: :icon4: :icon04: :icon4:

I'm also a Z enthusiast, though I have a SE-R Spec-V.

I'd love to drive a:

Black 350Z Track with every option and 18" Nismo wheels.

Burke - just a note about your post. My current lease is not up until April 2003 but my dealer had no problem cutting my lease short since I was going with the new Z (which comes at the end of this month). That said, I'm currently leasing a Pathfinder from that dealer so that might be way he's agreeable. Just thought that I'd let ya know in case you want to explore your options.

Me too. Unfortunately I work in the IT industry and my company is laying off on pretty much a weekly basis. If I don't get laid off I'll probably get one early next year. Hopefully.

I'm waiting until there isn't a supply demand issue. I have 2 sports cars to keep me busy in the mean time.

Christmas is when my cherished Z is due...

The anticipation is killing me, but I have to admint that this site is a great learning ground. This site helps by asking the questions that I don't even think about.
