for anyone rolling on 19's..i have a question...
anyone rolling on 19's, or know anyone rolling on 19's...I'm about to purchase a set of 19's, but i need assistance or recommendations on tire width and height...I was thinking of going 19x 9.5 fronts and 19x 10.5 rears...anyone have a clue??? Please give me assistance...

hey welcome to the forum (3 posts) check the tires/wheels section that will help big time... BUT NE WAY for the front u want 19x8.5 rim with a 245-35-19 tire and for the rear u want a 19x9.5 rim with a 275-35-19 or a 285 MAKE SURE THEY R THIS IF U CAN!!!!! there u go :)

ummmm why does he need to get 8.5 and 9.5 in the rears? im running 9s upfront and 10.5 in the backs and they look amazing and have more lip in the rims and have no problems whatso ever. So if you want it to look very agressive where people are gonna notice your THICK rear tires/rims get 10.5 in the rears. tire sizes i dont really think matters as long as u get atleast 245/35/19 and 275/35/19 in front/back cause if you get 30 series it messes up your traction

You can do 10.5" rears and 9.5 fronts.. just make sure you get the right offset. 285 rears work, there are a ton of people on the forum with them. Personally though, I just went 8.5/9.5 and I am perfectly happy. check my sig for details.

Welcome! I'm running 19x9.5 +22 in the front and 19x10.5 +22 in the rear. Tires are 245 / 35 / 19 and 275 / 35 / 19 respectively. You will probably have to roll the fenders if you lower the car, though I've heard of many folks using this same setup without lowering and without rolling. So you know this will stretch the tires but you'll still be within spec. Lots of Japanese tuners are going with this setup since drifting is way huge in Japan. End result should be lower g's on a skid pad but a more progressive feel at the limit. Good luck with the search!

well im running 8s and 10s and they look thick too. the important thing is not to get 275/30-19 on the rear. its a common mistake.

you dont have to roll the fenders with the 10.5. I was also told that if you drop an inch or less there is no fender rolling necessary either. I have no idea what my offsets are since the racing hart CP-f tune are only made for the 350z and specifically designed for us. only come in one staggered setup and wow do they look good. ^_^

Thanks guys...I had 245/ 35/19 fronts and 275 or 285/35/19 rears in mind...I just wanted everyone's opinions and experiences and also to see if anyone rolled thier fenders rolling that size rim on stock height...they were right this site is great!!!!! I'll post pictures once i have them, so you guys can see what your advise did....if anyone was curious, I'm purchasing the RACING HART CR's Black/ polished lip....

I have 20x9 & 10 with 255/35 and 285/30's and i've never had a problem w/ VDC or rubbing with either of my Z's. I don't think you would want to "stretch" the rear tires to stay in "spec". Wheels are very expensive, cover the lip up. And it never hurt anybody to have a little more tire on the road. especially when talking fractions.

I dont see any purpose to paying extra for 9.5 and 10.5 rims, just to run undersized tread on it... extra rim weight for no added tread area. a 10.5" rim should fit a 295-305 tire. and that will need rolling of the fenders unless you happen to find an extremely happy spot of the offset. but it is not likely.
also, the Z is fast and all, but 295 is WAY more tire than it needs. your tiny added margin at the launch will be more than lost when it comes time to gain speed in 2nd and 3rd gear and you have higher rolling friction. for those reasons, I would reccomend what 350zrunnin12s said in the beginning. you can take liberties with that, but I dont see any real good reasons... certainly not to just put an inch more rim and the same exact tread. |
