First Dyno tomorrow, any tips ya'll?
Tomorrow I'll be dynoing my Z for the first time, with the following mods:
Crawford Plenum V5 UR Crank Pulley Nismo Headers Grounding Kit Nismo Catback Exhaust Nismo CAI I know to dyno in 5th because it's closest to the 1:1 ratio, any other tips? |
make sure you have good tire pressure
|
Mid to high 250's is my prediction.
|
Make sure they tie it down? :p
|
1) turn off vdc before running
2) when you finish dyno'ing, all warning lights may be on in the cluster... just drive a ways, and they will turn off. don't worry about them :) 3) have fun watching your car go 120MPH standing still :) |
people are dyno'ing in 5th?
|
few tips to squeeze out some extra ponies....
oil change clean/regap spark plugs clean air filter those will basically just make sure that your car is in its best running condition so the dyno is accurate as to what your car really can do. |

I'm also dynoing for the first time next weekend (want to get sort of a "baseline" with the mods I have before I do the Kinetix plenum and then the Greddy exhaust) - my question is: How many runs should I pull to make sure I get an accurate reading?
3 runs = $80 FYI (the place is called ProTechnik outside of Houston - a Porsche dealer/tuner) |
The numbers get bigger each run, up to a point. 3 is usually sufficient, the 4th might get you a little higher number.
|
well , whats the magic number Bebopin ?
